An absolutely fabulous property with absolutely delicious and delectable food not to mention great drinks at the bar from Edward, who welcomed us with such warm hospitality, and even fed us at very late hour. But over and above what made it extremely special was running into Leon. Leon was such a wonderful, kind, caring and extremely thoughtful man. He truly made this a vacation memorable in more ways than one. Leon you truly are exceptional and you “ROCK” 😉 Also, a shout out to two other incredible staff members Connor and Jacob. "The hotel was ok for an old hotel probably in need of some decoration and updating but fairly comfortable. Definitely not the worst hotel i have stayed by any means however not the cheapest either priced a bit high for the room i had."

"A beautiful hotel with grand high ceilings and an eccentric historical townhouse charm. Perfectly located right on the shore of Loch Maree, with private lake access. Our room was peaceful and quiet, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The host was exceptionally friendly, warm and accommodating, adding a welcoming atmosphere to both the hotel and its cosy bar. He went out of his way to meet our requests, making us feel truly cared for. Easily our best experience on the NC500. "

"Great, comfortable room with a beautiful view across the loch. A pity that the left window wasn’t cleaned and was covered in salt spray. Restaurant menu was unexciting but our fish and chips were fresh and well cooked."

"Excellent location to hike the Quiraing and An Storr. Just 30 minutes drive from Portree if you crave an evening out but the kitchen was an excellent plus to make breakfast before heading out. "
