"The property was lovely, spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable, showers worked well. Kitchen was clean and plenty of utensils. Only 2 tea bags and small amount of coffee in a jar that had been used previously. And opened used bag of sugar so wasn't too happy about that. We bought our own cleaning stuff as we were there for 4 nights, although there was cleaning stuff left for us. Ive stayed in some places and they've left better supplies of tea etc and even water bottles. Other then that...

"I wanted to stay somewhere a little quirky and thought that this place would be ideal. There was a very steep lane on arrival. The hut shown in the picture is not the one we were in. We were under the impression that there was only one hut but we spotted 4 altogether. The reason I wanted the one in the photo was because it was close to the toilets as I have a stomach/digestion disorder and have to use the toilet during the night. "Clean well presented accommodation, check was easy and well communicated, parking was easy to find with the addition of photos to help. Good location and pet friendly, close to town with a few steep steps but you quickly get used to that. Great Western Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Our third time staying here - amazing access to the beach and Newquay shopping. Surrounded by great food, cafe and drink options. Room was cosy, comfortable and just what we needed. Worth paying the extra for parking. Thank you - we will be back next year!"

Camelot Castle Hotel

"We had a lovely stay at the Camelot Castle Hotel, with a good sized room that was clean and comfortable. As it's a dog friendly hotel, we could hear two dogs yapping in the room next door. We also found that the room had a "wet dog" smell each time we returned to our room but were unable to air the room as we couldn't open the windows. Due to the age of the building and retrospective fitting, the bathroom is very bijou, but usable (as long as you're not too large). Fine for a weekend. Due to availability, we had a moor view room, which was lovely, but would definitely try to get a sea view room if staying again. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious and very well presented. Bar staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent location, a short walk to Tintagel Castle along the road to the main entrance, and we also walked back along the coastal path from Tintagel beach / Merlin's Cave after our visit to the castle."

"This is a country hotel with rooms above. Our room which were very comfortable and appropriately furnished. The rooms are well equipped with a comfortable bed, plenty of storage, a coffee pod machine and kettle with a full tray offering various beverage options and biscuits / cookies. The staff were just brilliant and couldn’t be more helpful. We stayed during a particularly warm weekend and despite no air conditioning in our room, we were given two fans to cool it down. The food and particularly the breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choice which catered for every dietary need and it was also always served with a smile. The bar also had a great choice of locally brewed ales and spirits. All in all we had a very enjoyable weekend and we would definitely use The Port Gaverne again. Only slightly negative observation was that parking is limited and can be a bit of an issue at busy times due to the location, but this did not spoil our stay in any way."
