First, this is a duplex. The backyard is divided so if both units have dogs, there's no mingling. We actually were rarely aware of the people in the other half of the house.Second, the house is smallish but had everything we needed for 2 weeks. I even made a complicated lasagna recipe and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also appreciated the extra blankets we could put on the couches. Traveling with dogs so that was very nice. The screened porch (with ceiling fan) is terrific.Third, the house is very close to the Spanish Moss Trail. Do yourself a favor and have University Bikes deliver a rental bike to the house and then take a ride on that amazing bike path. We saw tiny crabs, deer, jumping fish, a small snake, a horse, some low flying Marine jets, and a kid walking a cat on a leash. Lowcountry, you really are unusual.Fourth, the owner is great. Our dog had to have its spleen removed during our visit and we needed a couple of extra days to get her travel-ready. Owner made doing that very easy. We needed that little bit of extra kindness during a difficult time. (Pet Royal Vet Hospital is very close and the doctors and staff are great. I hope you don't need to visit them, but if you do, you'll be in good hands.)
