An exceptional location with a comfortable room, good amenities, a delicious breakfest, and kind, warm staff. An absolute diamond of a place.

The staff was over the top

This was a FABULOUS stop during our around the country tour of Ireland! I HIGHLY recommend using the deep tub and reading a book! I also recommend downloading and using What's App so you can contact the host. We were nervous at first when we couldn't find our previous e-mail on our phones but Phillip sent a second e-mail and then we were gran! The biggest problem was not being able to phone because of the UK's restriction on long distance numbers. (Again, What's App is a great suggestion!) We...

It was very cozy and fit all of our needs perfectly

I have never been received so warmly at any hotel in my entire life of travels. I wish I could remember the young ladies name who checked us in. She was so helpful and went out of her way to receive us. She literally followed me out to the car to take our luggage in, she stored it until our room was ready and when we returned everything was in our room. She helped us pull our car out of the parking lot, went out side and waved us on. She helped us find a tour driver, who was equally...

It was so nice to have off street parking as cars were sometimes triple parked on the street. It was a very large and comfortable apartment in easy walking distance to a bus stop into the city and a grocery store. We enjoyed our stay.

We toured the UK and this was the best hotel by far. I loved everything about it. Nice, small apartment with everything you need. Responsive on-site service. Very friendly and clean. I wish there were more of these all over the UK.

Cozy and quiet. Near enough to everything that we could walk. EXCELLENT staff, all around, truly. Very pleasant breakfast served downstairs each morning. Highly recommend.

I stayed in Newcastle for three nights and was incredibly fortunate to choose Drummer Lodge. The location, surrounding environment, and the room’s facilities can only be described as excellent and delightful—absolutely fantastic! The hostess, Fiona, and her husband, Perry, are both extremely friendly and warm, making you feel right at home in no time. At dawn, the chirping birds under the giant Scottish pine trees gently wake you from a restful night’s sleep, as the distant mountains emerge from...

As soon as we walked through the door, we knew we made the right choice. The restaurant/bar area was beautiful and cozy. The hotel staff was welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated, and the bay window view of the sea was gorgeous. I will stay at the Avoca any time that I return to Newcastle.

Beautiful place, nice accommodations, helpful staff, and nice restaurant with really good food. Short drive from Belfast, nice to be in the country!

Everything was perfect. Cleanliness, amenities, comfort of the beds, hot water for the showers, spacious room and bathroom. I would definitely recommend Homestead Hilsborough guest house!

Hands down, the best hotel experience we’ve had, including stays at boutique design hotels. Second Nature understands the actual needs of travelers and has built a bespoke and accommodating stay that meets you where you’re at. What stood out to us most was a 2 PM check in AND check out, so you actually get a full day, and breakfast that’s flexible to late sleepers — literally unheard of anywhere else. Every amenity was thought of, and everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. The rooms and...

This beautiful cottage has very positive energy. It is located on a river, and was an actual mill. The host is very dedicated. He made us soda bread.

The Merchant Hotel was a bank in its previous life. As a former banker myself, I enjoyed hearing about it’s history, and seeing how beautifully it has been converted to its present use. Magnificent!
