Top Porth Trecastell Hotel Reviews
Bluebells: Eco-Friendly 4-Bed Home with Sea Views in Llanfaelog | Managed by Anglesey Holiday Lettin
10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing place for a family get together. Such a sociable living space with plenty of room for 8 people and a couple of dogs. The upside down living was perfect especially with the balcony available for everyone to enjoy. The children loved running around the garden which is the perfect size for little games of football. All the bedrooms were spacious with 2 ensuite. The adults loved the sauna which was an extra treat at the end of the day. Such a great place to stay within walking distance of the beach. We would all recommend and definitely go again. Would have booked whilst we were there but couldn't get holiday confirmation from employers."
Freshwinds is a wonderful sea-side holiday home with breath taking sea views

"Great property and location, large enclosed garden was superb."
Out of the Blue: Spacious pet-friendly holiday home in Rhosneigr
8/10 Good
"This is the second year we have stayed in this property and location is excellent. The house itself is ok but needs tic and a thorough clean (cleaning is carried out by a different contractor, not AHL). The furnishings are ok but for a rental of this cost I would not expect a large tear in the footstool or badly stained outdoor cushions. The outdoor furniture had been replaced since 2025, although not with new but rather used furniture. The cushions on the sunlougers were particularly grubby and the lounge set cushions also stained with one missing completely. The kitchen dining furniture had been replaced since 2025, however, the bed in the annexe which is ideal for elderly relatives is very low and the mattress needs replacing as does the mattress in the master bedroom. Sofas are also very uncomfortable, although one has been replaced but again I suspect not with new. We have stayed in many holiday rentals in Anglesey as well as abroad, however this one is below standard compared to others we have stayed in of similar cost. We had considered renting again for next year, however, our recent visit has led us to look elsewhere given the updates needed and rise of £800+ for a week in August 2027."
Chelford: 3-Bed Home Near Rhosneigr Beach | Managed by Anglesey Holiday Letting
8/10 Good
"Nice stay in Rhosneigr. Great parking. Nice open plan bungalow. Plenty cups, plates, utensils etc. nice new TV in lounge. Be great to have a TV in main bedroom. Blue Olive nice food. Pizza take away is nice. Visited Oyster catcher for a drink and some snacks which was nice. Walk around Maelog is a nice walk. 5 mins flat walk to beach at end of road and about 7 mins walk to the main beach. Check in time is far too late at 4pm."
Owain’s Lake View : Pet-Friendly 1‑Bed Lakeside Apartment with Maelog Lake Views | Managed by Angles
8/10 Good
"We love Anglesey and we are frequent visitors to this property, Few issues in regards to cleanliness but we have raised the issues with Anglesey Holiday Lettings. Great to see the garden areas being tidied up, looks so much better. Look forward to returning soon."
Bryn Bach: Romantic 1-Bed Cottage with Hot Tub in Llanfaelog | Managed by Anglesey Holiday Lettings
8/10 Good
"We had an enjoyable two night stay at Bryn Bach but that was more to do with where the little hideaway is situated as when we previously stayed here which was two years ago we found the place had deteriorated since then and the place was looking quite worn and tired. We got to stay on quite a good deal, but I wouldn’t have been happy if we had paid full price. The leather sofa looked extremely worn as all the padding had deteriorated in the cushions. The step to the outdoor area was coming away so it was slightly on a slant which I felt was quite dangerous. The outside was looking quite scruffy as the plants in the planters were looking like they were dying as nobody had been looking after them so we gave them a water and there were brambles coming on to the decked area from the surrounding fields as the fencing was old and they were coming through the cracks, and these brambles had large thorns on them so we cut these away as if you had knocked yourself on them they would have caused harm. The place is situated in a great area which is very peaceful and if you are into RAF Valley watching the fighter jets flying past this is a great place for that. The bed wasn’t the greatest either as whoever had done the bed before we had arrived hadn’t put the mattress protector on properly so there was bumps all over the place so the first night was very uncomfortable for the both of us until I pulled off all the sheets the next day and fixed the issue. The last time we stayed they had a different hot tub from than the Hikki tub and we preferred the other version as this Hikki tub seemed slimy like the wood had been wet for too long. The outside area is such a good space but due to it being quite neglected it wasn’t very appealing like it was the last time. We wouldn’t look to stay again as it just wasn’t as nice as the first time but if it was renovated we could have a change of heart as it really is situated in a lovely area. We would recommend Bryn Bach but only after the place has been updated."
Superb family getaway, sleeps 8, pet friendly, south facing garden near beaches

"We had a lovely stay in Rhosneigr. The accommodation was very comfortable and homely and well situated in relation to the beach and village. Would definitely stay again."
Y Stabl: 2‑Bed Cottage Sleeping 5 in Llanfaelog | Managed by Anglesey Holiday Lettings
8/10 Good
"We had another really good week at Y Stabl, where we’ve been coming to for a few years.. The location is excellent, nice and peaceful with great views and just a mile or so from Rhosneigr centre.. The cottage itself does need a little bit of work but I believe the owners are aware eg bathroom modernisation, new washing machine and perhaps a new sofa etc but it’d still decent enough.. For us it’s the location and the peace.. booked for next year already but next door at The Granary as it looks slightly more modern inside but both are great."
Off the Hook : Pet-Friendly 3‑Bed Bungalow with Enclosed Garden in Rhosneigr | Managed by Anglesey H
8/10 Good
"We stayed in spring and had such a lovely time we booked again in July. The house is very nicely appointed, comfortable and clean - the space worked very well for us. The location for the beaches is great and for popping up to the shops too. Anglesey Lettings very responsive when we couldn't use the key. The only trouble we had this time was that it was summer and we needed the rear doors open for air and to use the garden. The noise from the care home at the rear was quite intrusive, with ambulances and people coming and going and we had the ambulance and drivers literally parked tight alongside the garden wall while we BBQ'd, this took the pleasure out of the stay in some ways. I really don't know why the owners don't allow the hedge to grow up and plant some more shrubs to give some visual privacy, as this does rather dominate the rear of the property. Equally, as a previous review said, blinds or curtains are needed in the rooms as the venetians just don't cut out the light and so we were awake at 5am every day! Or supply eye masks! On the plus side, there is a great bath, the showers are good pressure and the beds comfy and the kitchen well equipped. So, just some landscaping in the garden and curtains would turn this place into a 5 star place I would return to, but otherwise we will probably look for an alternative for a summer stay."
