We had a good stay there. It was a nice quant area. It could be updated on the outside a bit (new roof and some paint). But overall it was nice and comfortable.

The price was great for this former Red Lion property. The Red Lion name always meant you'd get a spacious room. Because the price is so good, the clientelle was not the most wholesome looking crowd but noone bothered us. Across the street Target had heavily armed guards and you got the feeling that you should NOT go for a walk outside. A five minute drive across the river had a beautiful walking trail.

The staff is the only reason we stayed at this location. It is very run down. The place needs a major rehaul. Items broken or just missing from the rooms. Trash everywhere and just over all very very old and shabby but the staff there are incredible.

The place was disgusting. It was dirty - no toilet paper - would dream of stepping in the shower. When we asked why the entrance didn’t open near our room - the front desk lady informed us it was a HOtel not a MOtel. As expected for 6 out of 20 stars 💯

Old Building; Comfortable Stay

Make no mistake about it, the building is old and could use a little refreshing, especially in the common areas (hallways, elevator, lobby). But, at least in my experience, old buildings mean large rooms, and this was definitely true at this place. Our room (2 queen beds) was HUGE. It had two wash basins, a large closet...lots of room. The room itself was clean. My only complaint is that the shower could use a bit of an upgrade. The surrounding area was fine, and convenient enough (about 15 minutes to PDX). I would definitely stay there again if I'm in Portland.

Wouldn’t recommend

This hotel was VERY dirty. Hair in the bath tub, stains on the bed, cobwebs in the corner, dirty towels, etc. Luckily I was there only one night. The crowd around the hotel and staying in it were all questionable as well. The rooms were no smoking and it constantly smelled like weed in the hallways.

There is armed security on the property 24 hours a day and they were very nice and personable. This property used to be one of the nicer hotels however, there were a lot of transient and long-term guests, and the property overall seemed to be in serious disrepair. The carpets are extremely worn, there was a musty smell, and the area is not as safe as it once was. It was truly sad to see.
