The four of us, including our two sons who are in their early twenties, stayed for five nights in two rooms. The hotel managed to provide a twin room for the boys which was appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar. The location was good for us, although it is at the top of a hill so staying there keeps you in shape.

We had a very relaxing five days at the Altis, the staff were helpful, accessible and friendly throughout. The bottle of wine to welcome us was a lovely surprise. We made use of the excellent gym and spa facilities every day before hitting Porto. We loved the location and view of the Douro from our room - quiet but just a 15 minute walk into the centre or quayside.

A few issues with housekeeping but soon rectified. No milk for the hot drinks in room and hot drinks in breakfast room were not very hot. Food was excellent but the cooked food was lukewarm. Otherwise was excellent hotel and staff helpful and friendly

Would definitely return.

Overall Outstanding! We had a river view room which was a little disappointing as the trees in front were overgrown so the view was limited. The road in front can be busy at times when sat on the balcony but you can’t hear it when the door is shut

Exellent hotel. Perfect stay.

Excellent hotel. Great service. Hotel is new and it is decorated exquisitely. Has a very good spa area. They supply robes. The room is spacious and organized well. The shower is just right. Not in center of town but 12 minutes walk. We also went to a mexican restaurant Frida nearby. Also recommended

The superior room ís actually not superior at all. First floor, and almost street level. Really new facilites but very compacted bathroom. I really doubt that the room was the 35sqm announced when we booked it. Dissapointed and not worth the price

Clean and very comfortable. It's a fairly new hotel - 3 years old. Besides the great breakfast offered, we enjoyed a dinner here too. The onion pie was really good. It was delicious! Thanks to "Nelson" (if I remembered his name correctly) for recommending it. Reception staff are also very helpful & friendly. Special mention to Pedro Marques who helped us check in and gave good suggestions for our stay. Walkable to riverside and attractions. Only thing is the do not disturb/ make up room sign kept flying off doors. I saw this happen outside other doors too. Signs ended up on the floor. Some kind soul then put the sign back on our door but with the wrong message. This led to our room not being serviced while we were out.

Well positioned to be close to all the action but not in the middle of all of the action which was perfect for us. Access to Yellow Bus tour bus stop 3. Right next to the beautiful Crystal Gardens. Wonderful restaurant in the hotel called Exuberant. We loved our stay in Porto!
