The apartment is well located in what appears to be a quickly gentrifying neighborhood. It is a short distance to the Sé and Ribeira and public transportation, but the area of the apartment is not overrun with tourists, though there is a plethora of ex-pats. The unit was not in the best shape. There seems to be some leaks causing water damage, and the apartment had a musty odor. With a little more care and maintenance, this could be a beautiful, if very small, studio. There was also poor communication about a sofa replacement that was somehow accidentally scheduled during my stay, which caused some confusion and a slight inconvenience. Oh, and there was a lovely welcome gift including some condiments and a bottle of wine... but there was no corkscrew!! The cruelty!! That said, overall, it was a decent landing pad.
