"The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable.
The breakfast for a buffet was all fine but not
outstanding for a 5 star. I became violently ill
after eating breakfast the first day but recovered
later in the day. I feel it was something bad in the omelette. Lots of bread but not a lot of flavour.
Our room was nice but the view was just a deserted side street ( they say city view which is
sort of misleading ) Although the weather was cool and windy we spent a good amount of time
on 7th floor balcony that has a great view of the
sea. We had drinks both in main lobby room and
7th floor but the same drink was mixed different
a lot of the time. Don’t rent a car through concierge it’s really expensive and they gave us
a old car. I’m sure they get a cut of 150.00 per day. On check out day our flight home was at
4:40 pm so we asked for a 1:00 pm check out
but were told no 2 times. (normal checkout is 12:00) Later we were offered a room to freshen up in but the damage was done. So in closing we had a few issues but it is a fantastic hotel and great location we stayed for 7 nights and would recommend it for sure. The crappy expensive rental car company was called Larios"
"Super rooms (cathedral view) very clean and lovely roof top (small pool) there is a gym but it’s small. Lovely staff and very nice lobby area. Feels very new and clean and in a great central area for walking everywhere."
"Room was beautifully decorated, amenities were excellent. The breakfast was varied and of high quality and the staff throughout the hotel were polite and helpful "
Palacio Solecio, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World
6/10 Okay
"Room was advertised as accessible, it was not, it had apprx 6 steps that I found slippery. Bathroom was downstairs and ataira also didnt have illumination. I am not handicapped, but suffer a condition where this is "
"Great location, everything you need is nearby. Everything was reasonable clean and the cleaners came a couple of times a day. The pods are good, although you can hear other people coming and going or using the toilets, doors banging so I recommend ear plugs. The welcome drink was a nice touch and a great ice breaker for meeting other travellers. Sadly, I didn't get to use the pool due to being unlucky with the weather in March. "
