"The hotel is an older hotel that has been updated. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and greenery. We could see the ocean from our second-floor room balcony. The bathroom did have an odor, I believe it was the old pipes/plumbing that allowed the odor to enter. The outdoor breakfast area was perfect for starting the day! It was a partially covered patio with a large window facing the ocean and the hotel's flower garden. We walked to the beach in under 5 minutes and walked over to a pizzeria and to a pub within a 12-15 minute walk. "

"If you are on a budget, this is the place for you! The room was very clean, amenities basic soap and shampoo, shower was great. There was no hair dryer in room but you can get one at the front desk. After I shampooed my hair, the hair dryer didn’t work and they had no other to loan!!! Bummer. I had to go buy one. Great place for the budget minded but don’t expect extras. It did have an outside pool!"

"Staff very helpful.Especially the Food Service head person, friendly and food was great for the entire week of ourstay. We had some trouble with fire alarm chirping at night but staff was empathetic and helpful. Such a joy to look out over the ocean every morning."

"I was downstairs.. There was someone upstairs with heavy boots on clomping around half the nite and even when he(her) Was barefoot was very heavy footed.. Busy making noise allot of the nite.. Very irritating!! I came into Ventura because my dad is dieing.. Only good thing was the bed didn't hurt my hips. 😡"
