"Our clean and comfortable room had an ocean view and a beautiful palm right outside. The staff were wonderful and the location and price can’t be beat. We had a great short stay and would return for sure. "

"We loved the view and restaurant at Cliffside. Our room was also clean and adequate for a building of its age. We have no complaints. Staying at Cliffside was one of the highlights of our trip doing the PCH. "

"The ocean view was excellent. The heated hot tub pool was cold. Barely useful. The restaurant the waiters obviously were not getting along. Our food was okay but nothing great especially in light of the price. The electronic key often didn’t work so we had to get help often which was an inconvenience. Also it is expensive to park at the property with no other options close by. "

"For the location, price, and property it’s a great hotel. What I enjoyed most was they allowed us to check in early, breakfast hours 7-1030 give you enough time, and complimentary snacks 5-7. Downtown Ventura is just a walk away as well as Ventura pier. "

"Very freeway convenient and only about 15-20 minutes away from Santa Barbara/UCSB area. Ample free parking and Carpinteria is a nice laid back little town. Only negative is walks are thin so conversations aren’t very private and you can hear neighbors above walking all night. But for the price compared to others it was worth it. "

"Susie was extremely helpful when I called to confirm and when I checked in. She should be promoted Clean, centrally located, comfortable bed, nice pool. "

"The room was extremely small, one bed actually was touching the AC unitand was overpowering blowing on that bed.There was no door on the toilet enclosure so privacy was non-existant. Hotel policy permits pets and there were plenty, seemed like a dog in every room. Lots of barking heard at night. On the plus side, Dot at the front desk was more than helpful and thoughtful to find us a comfortable room for our tired bodies."
