"Frank was an awesome host. He was courteous, thoughtful, and generous. The pod was clean and very comfortable. I probably slept the best I have in a long time. I really liked eating the delicious breakfasts with the front doors open and enjoying the fresh, cool morning air. And we also enjoyed being only 15 minutes away from all the fun activities in Pottenstein. I give this place 5 stars!"

Very updated apartments in the beautiful town of Pottenstein. Our room had the best view of castle and parts of the town. Owner and family members were very helpful. Great breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Considering the location and price of the room I was both surprised and impressed by the quality of the hotel. It appears to be family owned, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking space in the back. The home is extremely clean and peaceful. I loved staying here and plan to return some day!

The hotel is in a great area to go hiking and to explore a little mountain region in Germany. The hotel was comfortable it had a homey feel to it the room was a bit small but hey it is Germany. Definitely a great mountain escape.

Great old hotel, come experience a unique 300 year old structure, fully modernized with all the comforts. Restaurant was closed for dinner but breakfast wonderful, fresh cooked eggs, bread local jams and honey.

The only hiccup was parking. It’s not that far away but we arrived after dark and I couldn’t find where I was supposed to park. Hence, I may get a parking ticket from the town. Once I knew where to park it was easy both day and night.

The receptionist (male) seems to have a reputation for being aggressive and rude but we found him professional, rather than unfriendly. The hotel buildings are split and are on different levels with several dining areas and bars. Limited wine list but lots of beers, we had a reasonable meal although the venison was without flavor or texture. The bedroom and bathroom were fine and the free breakfast buffet was excellent with lovely staff. Free onsite parking was the final star in our rating!

We loved our stay at the hotel! The suite was spacious and it was very convenient to have a kitchenette. I was most impressed by the service. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Luka was very friendly and polite. When, due to road closures, Bolt and taxis were unavailable, Jonas *offered* to drive us to the Festspielhaus! If it had not been for him, we would have missed the performance! Thank you, Jonas!
