Central to our bike trip and our own walking tour complete with awesomely steep hills, truly on top of the city at a peaceful intersection with an excellent Italian restaurant and wine/grocery store just steps away. "The appartment was extremely clean and in a great location. The common area was very large with a huge cushioned bench and basic poang type chairs. Beds were comfortable and shower had very good water pressure. Only a few things prevented me from giving it 5 stars. 1) The listing amenities says "on-site parking". This is not accurate. You have to park on the street or in a parking garage a few blocks away. 2) As other reviews have mentioned- "kitchenette" means a mini fridge, microwave, and...

"Comfortable, beautifully updated historic home perfect for families. Room to spread out for relaxing time between exploring the city. Great, walkable location! Well-equipped kitchen for meals in and quick washer dryer for ding several small laundry loads. Our family of four really enjoyed our downtime here."

The Portrero Hill location is quiet and safe, with lots of restaurants and markets steps away.
