I broke my phone on the island, and I was unable to get access to my plane tickets or my email. The staff, especially Filipa, was so nice enough to let me use their computer, log into my email, and print my tickets. Also gave me more information on finding my family chronological records in Sao Sebastian and Porto Judeu. Overall, this stay mended every unfortunate event that happened on my trip. "

"We just spent 10 wonderful days at Vivenda Gomes and loved every minute. Unfortunately we were not able to use the expansive yard much because of high winds and rain but it was wonderful looking out the window every morning and at times watching the fickle Terceiran weather!If you want to experience a traditional Azorean home with modern touches and amenities, then this is the right place to book. It has everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen, lots of towels, bedding and many English speaking choices on the television. A heater is included which was welcome as we did have some cooler days due to the high winds. There was always plenty of hot water for our showers.The home is a very short walk to the seaside and there is parking on the road which is no problem at all. Instructions for the keybox were easy. A welcome added bonus was the pantry which you have to access going out the back door but it held the washer/dryer combo. Knowing this is available, makes packing light even better.A large grocery store is only 6 km away and despite one of the snackbar/bars being closed for January, there are two other within 250 meters walking in Porto Martins. The closed snackbar was just 100 meters away and is a good stop to enjoy the view.Paulo was easy to reach and replied immediately. We would highly recommend a stay at Vivenda Gomes in one of the prettiest towns on the island. Thank you Paulo!"

"Relaxing, quiet location with private garden. Rental was as described in listing a traditional home, with no unwanted surprises. Having the private garden we were able to eat all meals outdoors while listening to the local birds. A car is a must."
