The profound quiet of the surroundings was almost magical; it was the kind of deep stillness that ensured we all slept profoundly, like babies. Waking up was equally delightful, as breakfast was a true celebration of local agritourism. The wonderful variety of fresh foods, particularly the exquisite, melt-in-your-mouth pastries, made for a perfect start to our day. Borgo San Martino offered an authentic and tranquil escape for our family."

"Pete and jools are honestly two of the nicest people we have ever met. Nothing was too much for them and they always went the extra mile. We stayed here for 1 week for our wedding in Pennapiedimonte - we arrived to a care package of items for dinner that night due to the time we arrived. They also placed items in the fridge so we were able to have a cold drink / tea ect. On arrival they showed us around, gave us all the information needed for the stay and were so lovely to us from the beginning. As it was for our wedding we had family / friends staying local and they allowed them to come up and spend time with us at the pool and in the house itself. They welcomed my family in on the day of my wedding and even helped the car ect reach us. They offered for me to use their home itself for my getting ready photos and I was so thankful to them for everything they done for us whilst we stayed here. Honestly the best place I have ever stayed. They even gave us a beautiful wedding gift / card and provided a drink for me and my mother / bridesmaids on my wedding day! It’s definitely a home away from home. I will be recommending this gem to everyone I know and even those I don’t. Thank you so much for making a special week even more special. Your home will forever have a place in our hearts. We really are gutted to be leaving. Thank you so much again . "

"This is a small quiet bed-and-breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. The owner was extremely helpful. Keep in mind that this is a small town. The room was very clean. Basically there was nothing that we wanted or needed that was not provided by the hotel."

"The hotel is lovely and very clean and the staff including Franco who was extremely friendly and accommodating, and Chef Marco whose homemade pastas were so delicious. We had a beautiful terrace which overlooked beautiful scenery. On Sunday morning, we were serenaded with a cacophony of church bells ringing simultaneously. It was simply beautiful. Although my tastes are more modern, for those who appreciate antiques and old world ambiance, Grande Albergo Is perfect. "
