"We were so surprised by how much space the is at the villa, it was fantastic the pictures do not do it justice., it is very old and rustic building put to its best by the owners, games room gym, lovely pool, great supermarkets near by (puts ours to shame) you can walk into the nearest town for a drink and a market on a Wednesday morning (good hike back though) If you decide to get train to Arezzo make sue it stops at the local train station (just a square of ground) as the train went by my kids...

"We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Il Castellaccio. There are stunning views in all directions with lovely gardens and outdoor seating, and a great pool which we used many times. It is very quiet and the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The private apartment is larger than we anticipated, which was great, and has beautiful views and nice light. We rented one of the two apartments that make up the old stone guest house (which stayed cool in the sun!). The hosts live in a separate house...

"The property was comfortable and had everything that was needed for our stay. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending our evenings sitting out at the pool area across from the house. We made full use of the poolside kitchen and barbecue area. Danny and Jeanette were very welcoming hosts and were extremely helpful when our hire car broke down on the way to the property and helped to quickly resolve a leak.
