"The staff at Melia were absolutely fantastic, friendly, and helpful even during the uncertain times recently. The property was very clean, some of the rooms are a bit outdated, specifically the bathrooms but it's a small thing. They had nightly activities and a large pool, we only wish there was an adults only area but understood this is an all ages property. We loved our meal at Fish House."

"resort was clean and accessible easy to navigate, however when the disruption occoured it took less than a day to run out of ice lime and spiced rum, followed by 4 of 5 restaurants closing from staff and food supply shortages due to not getting deliveries or anyone being able to move around for 2 days, then after flights where cancelled they doubled their room rates and show 0 gf s and no compation....one of my poorest experiences ever"

"Several return travelers we met here had one word to describe it: consistent. The resort is consistently high-quality, the staff are friendly, the food delicious, and the rooms clean. Our experience was the same. Our family of 4 stayed comfortably in 1 room and enjoyed watching for whales from our ocean-view room. When we'd go to breakfast, Felipe knew our kids wanted his special chocolate milk with cinnamon. He also served at the cevicheria, which we ate at every single lunch because the menu was so good and the view of the water was mesmerizing. We set up for the day in the sand under the palm trees and relaxed while staff attended to us. The beach in front of the hotel has soft sand, and the water was clear and a beautiful blue-green. The waves were perfect for bodysurfing! We did not use the spa or gym, but we did get the Club access, which we highly recommend for adults. It gave access to a private rooftop deck bar with top-notch drinks, another rooftop pool and bar with the only hot tubs on the property, and a Mediterranean restaurant. What drew us here in the first place was its design; they've refreshed rooms and added features that make the place look and feel special. It is a smaller resort than ones we've been to in other locations, with one large pool. It had a small playset for little kids, and we saw a kids' club room. The only thing I wished for was that my teens had a hangout spot to meet friends. "
