"Terrible experience— I booked a non-refundable room for three nights but left after the first night to stay elsewhere. The beautiful restaurant and pool I remember from staying there in the past is gone, and in its place there is a new building under construction. It’s very difficult to walk around the property due to that and other construction. There was a special dinner event we weren’t told about. When we checked it out, we were told it was only for those who had the all-inclusive plan though the sign nearby clearly said we could pay for dinner to join in. The experience felt so condescending, we found somewhere else to eat. The live music from the party, while excellent, was so loud that we couldn’t go to sleep at a reasonable hour-so much for family friendly. The pools were dirty. Just not a place I would ever revisit or recommend. "

"This resort is amazing. We came back for a second time, and will be returning again and again! It feels like a beautiful tropical oasis that isn’t noisy or busy. It’s calm, peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect vacation for all ages. The staff are incredible and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a great one! The food is excellent and so are the drinks! "

"This is an old hotel but rooms are sparking clean and updated, yet retain their charm. Pool area is great. Food options wonderful esp the cerviche lunch place on the beach. Birds around the pool and breakfast buffet are a problem- what about a falcon? Staff wonderful, esp Jose at reception, the spa manager whose name I did not get, Angel at the italian resto. I hope to come back! Thank you! "

"Excellent resort all around. The staff are particularly wonderful and the whole facility is immaculately clean. The pool is large and didn’t feel full with shallow areas for kids. It is a smaller, family feel, non-party hotel which we liked. You can easily swim in the ocean out front of the hotel as well, nice and safe! Gracias Melia and staff!"

"The resort was clean, friendly and very relaxing. Our 1-bedroom was spacious, nice firm bed, kitchen with utensils and coffee pot, good size fold out sofa, great balcony view of pool. My kids loved water slide, ping pong table and pool volleyball ! I enjoyed nightly fantastic entertainment dance performances so much! Beach had lounge chairs, soft white sand "

"Staff was great but buildings were a bit of a mess and hard to find things due to ongoing construction. Room door and shower were broke but never fixed. Great view of the ocean and ability to rent beds. Been coming here for years but it’s been slowly going downhill. Also the fact that the literal minute we checked in we had someone trying to sell us a Krystal membership through a “welcome breakfast” that they wanted me to pay them $20 for was extremely offputting. "
