The Carriage House is a beautifully decorated one bedroom, one bathroom apartment located on the property of the famous Villa Estrella Mar. Just minutes from the center of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta in a residential area, a minute to the beach down a long private stairway, the location is hard to beat.

The beautifully decorated apartment consists of a living room and fully equipped kitchen, a desk in case you need to get any work done during your stay, as well as the bedroom with a king size bed, and ensuite bathroom. There are is a terrace that looks out to the Villa and the Bay and a second enclosed terrace off the bedroom. The best part is, you aren't in a condo complex so you can have complete privacy.

We make sure to have a few cold drinks available on arrival to start your vacation off right.

There is daily maid service with staff who will do any laundry free of charge!

Ask to be connected to our amazing concierge who can assist with booking in unit massages, fun activities, transportation, meal or grocery delivery, you name it!

Can also be rented with Villa Estrella Mar to provide additional sleeping for two.

We loved staying at the Carriage house. It had great access to the beaches, our favorite was walking along the water to Conchas Chinas beach and then stopping back at Amapas beach before heading up the stairs. It was also very relaxing to walk home on the beach after grabbing dinner in town and witnessing all the various festivities happening in PV.

We enjoyed the setting. The house is private with great views, surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The staff are great. The free daily laundry service is wonderful! The only downside is the crazy amount of steps to/from the beach. You need to be in moderately good shape to navigate thateasily

Beautiful small villa in a very walkable location. The daily cleaning and laundry service were very nice amenities. The only downside is the noise from the Villa next door and from the construction during the day that started early. Also the furniture is beautiful but just not comfortable for lounging or even having dinner in the Villa.

Cute Cottage House steps (although MANY steps... lol) from the beach. Excellent views. Houseman, Paco, was very helpful. Host, Jordan gave an excellent recommendation for a birthday dinner (La Campella) and was very responsive. Looking forward to staying again.

The pictures do not give this place justice. A little out of town which was what we wanted, but close enough. Easy walk to town. We had a nice time while relaxing. The staff very nice and helpful. Drank our coffee in the balcony very day and planned our daily activities. Daily walks to the beach to see the amazing sunsets. This place is a gem!!!!

Clean, comfortable, very nice. Paco and the entire staff were super nice. We felt safe and well served. Paco would arrange taxis for the short 5 min trip downtown. Easy to get a taxi back with Paco's business card. AC worked great and stayed surprisingly cool when we turned it off. Casa Ley Supermarket was open until 10 pm.

Nice decor, spacious bedroom and bath. The only downside was that the living room furniture not that comfortable. We walked to the beach every morning, got beach loungers at the El Dorado, then took a taxi home … rather than walk up the 195 steps. Jordon was very responsive and the onsite staff super helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the carriage house.

We stayed in the Carriage House for two weeks.The Carriage House is as described in the photos, it is clean & well maintained. The staff were efficient, friendly, daily maid & laundry service was a fantastic perk. Water, ground coffee, beer & soft drinks were provided upon our arrival. Water was replenished each day. The bedroom is huge with two closets, a safe, a king sized comfortable bed, side tables with lights and an ensuite. Soap, shampoo/ conditioner was provided. The Villa provides a night security personnel that walks around the grounds. The area around the Villa felt safe. The following are some things that we would have liked to know prior to renting: The Carriage House is situated in the Villa’s parking area, so therefore you will hear cars & delivery/ garage trucks coming & going, people/ staff walking & talking, laundry machines below could be heard operating at night. While in the House with the windows open, you can hear the nearby highway traffic easily. Sound travels easily within the unit. The living room furniture is clean and comfortable but they are not loungers. The staircase down to the beach is as described by other reviewers. There are two gates with codes to enter & exit the staircase for security. There are light switches at the top of the staircase to activate if you are returning to the property in the dark. The pathway to the beach & town is well lit. Oxo stores with 8 minute walk.

Very nice condo with awesome view. Large bedroom and bath. Comfortable sitting area. This condo does not have a balcony. Also a bit of a hike to town. Those were my only negatives. Otherwise, a great place to stay. We never closed one door or window. The night air cooled the condo perfectly.

My only complaint is that I could not stay longer. I loved the Villa Estrella Mar carriage house. It is in a prime location with easy access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. I loved all the detail and art in the house. The staff on the property were friendly and genuine. The views were magnificent and the grounds were manicured. Lots of flowers and birds. Please do your research of the area and read all the reviews. PV is a loud area. It is a lively, loud culture and there is construction everywhere during the day. There are also a lot of stairs in my favorite neighborhoods and rentals. This is part of the charm for me. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Extremely unprofessional staff. The property itself was just fine. Nothing was misrepresented. A lot of noise from the carretera, day and night. The property description & photos are accurate. The carriage house is spacious, comfortable & well furnished. The houseman was friendly, readily available & very responsive to requests. We were not getting hot water in the bathroom upon check in and they remedied the situation as soon as we notified them. Our only issue was with the WIFI which moved at a snails pace. We restarted the router a couple of time which didn’t improve the speed any. We ended up not using it during the stay because it was so slow. (We didn’t mention this to the houseman as we assumed this was not something he could fix and this very well may not be the case). We enjoyed being just far enough outside the hustle, bustle & noise of PV yet a very enjoyable distance to walk when going into town. We spent most of our days at Los Muertos beach which was right out the door & down the flight of stairs. It’s very conveniently located. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely consider staying again on future visits to PV.
