"We were pleasantly surprised by the location - the hotel is right near the water and Pier 39 is much closer than we thought! The location was perfect, very near downtown, and also very close to all the basics, like Safeway. There's a trail right in the back of the hotel that takes you along the water and the views are fantastic. Pros/cons: Seals. There are a lot in the water and on the rocks outside, which is really charming and adds to the overall atmosphere. Cons = Seals. They are quite loud and if you are a light sleeper, you will need earplugs. We were able to manage by making sure the windows were closed and by pulling down the shades and curtains to buffer. Once that was done, the noise was actually fine and sounded like marine noise/seagulls in the background. We'd definitely stay here again."

"The rooms were well decorated, clean, and thought out. There was quality pour over coffee, tea, and sweeteners/creams. Our room didn’t have robes but the front desk provided them without batting an eye. From check-in all throughout our stay the staff were amazing. Always busy making sure the grounds were clean, things were functioning, and well stocked. My absolute favorite part was the sauna with a gorgeous view of the river, the cold plunge, and the jacuzzi with the same incredible river view. Every part of our stay felt well curated. This is a hotel we will tell all of our friends about and come back to visit when we make our annual salmon fishing trip to Astoria."

"We had a wonderful stay and would book this place again without hesitation. The listing photos and description were accurate — the home was clean, well-maintained, and felt like a real home instead of a sterile rental.A really nice touch: homemade cinnamon rolls and cookies were waiting when we arrived. It immediately made the place feel welcoming and set a great tone for the trip."

"This was our second stay, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first! Checking in was a breeze and the hosts were friendly and, once again, seemed to have thought of everything that we might need. The house and property were clean, very comfortable and fully stocked for fun and relaxing times. The location itself is quiet and peaceful, and the front yard and deck are situated to take full advantage of the views of the river."

"What a fabulous experience immersed in nature with river views everywhere! We saw eagles, ducks and other wildlife and it was so peaceful. Our souls are refreshed from this experience. The property had everything we needed to prepare some delicious home cooked meals. There were so many special touches: Wonderful bath bombs and shea soap in the bathroom , a brochure with pictures of ships so we could identify them , lots of art and old pictures, and a book with the history of this amazing place. There are some lovely refurbished antique furniture pieces too. I highly recommend this place as the perfect place to escape the chaos of city life and to bathe your soul in nature!"
