The main issue was communication. Right after the booking they sent a lengthy (presumably automatic) message, among others stating the opening times of reception, and to contact them in the case of late arrival.
My flight arrived after 11pm, pst closing time of the reception desk. So I immediately responded asking for instructions. There was...
