"Immediately upon arrival, the incredible hosts made us feel at home. The farm tour included a visit with all of the animals and their unique, charming personalities, including Frijoles the pig and Confite the dog. The kids loved swimming in the river and seeing the other animals on the farms such as howler monkeys, geckos, bats, tailless whip scorpion. We would definitely return!!!"

"Our stay was a return to traditional Costa Rican farm life as it has been for generations. As a Costa Rican/ US family we really enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful host in Don Carlos. "We had a great few days at Finga Manclar. The staff looked after us very well. We went full board and we had excellent local food. We also did most of the trips with Luis which were great fun - tubing, fishing, mangrove tour, waterfall, horse riding. Rooms don't have A/C but the fans were good. Make sure you bring plenty of beers and mosquito spray for sitting out on the veranda chillaxing. "We enjoyed staying at the farm with our two kids while exploring the Monteverde area. The house was simply, but artistically decorated with natural log-plank furniture and murals of local wildlife. The farm dogs made friends with our kids, even our son who tends to be scared of dogs! Yes, it was rustic, but clean and welcoming!
