"My wife and I stayed at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi for three nights, and we had an excellent experience from start to finish.
The biggest highlight was undoubtedly the location. Xintiandi is, in our opinion, one of the best areas to stay in Shanghai. The hotel is within walking distance of countless restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and lively nightlife, yet it still feels upscale and relaxed. There is also a beautiful shopping mall literally next door, making it incredibly convenient whether you want to shop, dine, or simply explore the neighborhood.
Despite being in such a vibrant area, the hotel itself was remarkably quiet. Our room was exceptionally well soundproofed, allowing us to enjoy peaceful nights with no disturbance from the activity outside.
During our stay, we celebrated our wedding anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a thoughtful amenity of fresh fruit, chocolates, and a soft drink. It was a simple but very kind gesture that made the occasion feel even more special and showed genuine attention to their guests.
We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel because we wanted to experience the many local cafés and restaurants nearby, so we are unable to comment on the breakfast offering.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. The combination of an unbeatable location, comfortable and quiet rooms, attentive service, and thoughtful hospitality makes The Langham an excellent choice for anyone visiting Shanghai."
