This property is in the most amazing spot and is very spacious. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property was so poor that we left after 2 nights of a 7 night stay. The hot tub has broken jets and the lid needs cleaning or replacing. The proprietor has not contacted us since advising we had left. There looks to have been an oil leak in the yard. We are following up our concerns with cottages.com.
Please note towels are not provided and the WiFi does not work. It would be helpful for the site information to be adjusted.

Delightful cottage in the middle of nowhere close to the sea with some breathtaking cliff walks. Great hot-tub, once we got it working but the owner was very helpful. We are hoping to go back next year. Nothing in the area save for a shop 6mins walk up the lane that is on a campsite - actually another shop near to it too. The cook meals on a Sat night and do a 1st class breakfast. No pubs nearby.
Dog friendly
Great find

This was our second visit to Colmon Bach, the cottage and location suite the dogs and ourselves perfectly. It was great to find a lovely new fridge freezer and frying pans on our arrival and nice to see some work had been done. We have already booked to return next year.

We had a lovely short break at Colman Bach.
We had a lovely short break at Colman Bach. The location is very rural with sea views from the hot-tub (although also nice and private) and we could hear sheep bleating too. It is very private and a lovely place to relax away from the pressures of modern life. The cottage is a way away from local shops and I would say driving is a must really. Saying that we were in easy reach of Snowden and enjoyed some spectacular views driving through the national park.
The cottage itself is well equipped and has a spacious dining kitchen. The sofa however is very hard and uncomfortable and there is only room to seat 3 in the TV area which families might find problematic. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit if it is sunny although the decking near the hot-tub can get slippy so be careful. We enjoyed the break from modern technology but did use the wifi to check for local amenities etc. which it was adequate for although quite slow.
Overall I would definitely recommend especially for other couples and we would definitely stay again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Porth Colman, and we have booked again for Spring 2020. The area is quite remote,so don't expect any night life, but is an excellent 'retreat'. Marvelous for walking and photography, and just 'chilling out'. The garden of the cottage is great for dogs as it is contained by wire fencing so that they can run free.

This is a great little cottage in a really peaceful remote place.
This is a great little cottage in a really peaceful remote place. Great for recharging the batteries. We had a small problem that was fixed the next day. With a few extra touches it could be excellent mainly the outside the deck was broken and old, setting not great and the grass very over grown. The hot tub is excellent and well maintained. So with a few tweaks it could be 10 out of 10. Having said that we would still return.

Excellent location good for exploring the local beaches and costal villages, that were all dog friendly when we visited but some restricted dog access during summer months.
Hot tub was great after a days walking, with a good view.
Cottage was well equipped and cosy with oil fired central heating, good TV signal
Mobile phone was hit and miss at cottage but full signal at top of cliffs a few yards away
We found the double bed a bit uncomfortable, and some areas could do with a bit of dusting, bed linen and towels provided clean and of good quality
The property could do with a little TLC as is showing wear and tear from holiday use
However we would recommend this cottage and hope to visit again some time

Firstly I believe the owner stated that the cottage was refurbished in January of this year, it would be more accurate to call it a paint job. The carpets, sofa, chairs and mattresses are badly in need of replacing and feel very old. The kitchen is well supplied with cutlery and the most comfortable room.
The cottage had a damp feel and smell to it and towels kept in the bathroom would not dry. There were ants coming in through the back door and flying ants coming in through a hole in the wall in the living room, which we remedied by blocking up the hole and accept the owner may not have known about this.
The hot tub was lovely at first but from the 4th day was no longer hot, despite the temperature reading 40 degrees.
The cottage mainly felt clean, cutlery and glasses etc were all clean. However, we had to mop the floor on arrival as the bottoms of our feet were black after walking on it whilst unpacking. The blinds were filthy and behind beds etc layered in dust.
The cottage is right next to a fisherman's port and there was always a strong smell of fish in the evening, which we didn't actually mind too much. The actual beach - Traeth Penllech (which is dog friendly) is a 10 minute walk that includes steps or hills. There are many nice beaches within a half hour drive. There is a shop and cafe 5 mins away which is open in season.
The view from the cottage is just lovely, you can see and hear the sea from the hot tub which we just loved. It was private and peaceful. Our dogs also loved the large and very secure garden.
I do not think that the cottage in its current state is worth what we paid. I would like to point out that we didn't raise the issues directly with the owner but quite frankly didn't want to or feel we should have to do this.
Despite the negatives we had a lovely holiday and are even strangely fond of the cottage. It's such a shame that with a bit of love and care it could be an amazing place to enjoy.

My boyfriend and I took our two dogs (a Corgi and a Springer Spaniel) to Colmon Bach with us and we had a great holiday. The cottage was very clean and cosy. The TV worked well, with a range of channels available. The WiFi was also good, and we were able to watch live videos without interruption. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room for us and our dogs. Overall, a fantastic holiday.

If you want a quiet holiday this is for you.
If you want a quiet holiday this is for you. So relaxing and the hot tub is what you need at the end off the day. The cottage just needs a bit of TLC . The garden is brilliant for your dog . The only thing that spoils the view is the decking needs some attention and a lot of the spindles are missing. I would go again
