"Great location, despite reports of the room being small we found it was fine. Had a few drinks down in reception later in the evening but felt like we were actually in the way. One night the guy behind the desk said they had stopped serving food at about ten past nine when all the menus said nine thirty. He also got his vacuum cleaner out whilst we were still having a drink before 10pm. Apart from that all good…"

"The View staff were wonderful. As soon as I checked in, they wished me a happy birthday. Special shoutout to Maria for warmly welcoming me with a surprise bottle of wine in my room. I booked a room with a view of the harbour, and one of the ladies at the front desk kindly upgraded my room for my birthday. I’m beyond grateful for the surprise. Thank you to The View Sydney for making my birthday so memorable. The train station is only a few steps from the hotel, and it’s close to Luna Park Sydney and the beautiful Sydney Harbour."

"Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel as listed… don’t even include still bottled water etc. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was clean but definitely feel like they skimped on some of the amenities. Room was listed to have record player and didn’t, only received after calling and asking. Rooftop bar was closed for a private event so I didn’t even get to check that out. Vip drink ticket was only given to me after I asked. "

"The location was very good close to the Harbor and Opera house . A nice walking distance in a good weather. The room was very good . What I didn’t like , when I checked in I thought my booked room overlooks the harbor and opera house , but the receptionist said not exactly and that I need to upgrade against $150 a night which I found it very high . After some bargain I got for $100 a night . Next day I complained to the management saying that I should have upgraded for free cus this is the room I booked . Then they reduced to $50 a night which I had to accept for not having to back and unpack ."
