"We had a great stay with 4 generations of our family in this property. The house was well maintained and comfortable and the games room and hot tub helped to keep the younger members entertained. The location was great as it was possible to walk into town and we also had a great walk along the disused railway line to Radstock for a pub lunch. We had a few difficulties with the showers at first but Brett explained on the phone how to get them going. Also the property was on more of a main road than we expected but that wasn't a problem."

"A great spot for easy access to Bath, Bristol and the delightful village of Cheddar and the gorge. Staff were so helpful and friendly and the food they prepared was plentiful and tasty. We can recommend a meal in the gorgeous train carriage attached to the bar - a lovely experience. "

"This is a lovely property at the heart of a busy village - beautifully decorated and very homely. We hosted Christmas for our family and it made a perfect home from home. I hadn't realised that this was the owner's own home, therefore the lack of available storage caught us out a bit. If we were staying for a couple of nights, outside of Christmas, the lack of storage wouldn't have been a problem, but, 5-6 clothes hangers between five adults, over 5 days at Christmas just wasn't enough. The same was true for the kitchen. Most of the freezer and cupboards contain the owner's food, so we were a bit stuck as to where to store all of our own food. That aside, we really appreciated the owner allowing us to bring our three small dogs - there's a great park just up the road to walk them. We loved the cosy warmth of the place, the comfortable bed in the main bedroom, amazing bath, the beautiful decor and the flow of the house. I'd happily live there, it felt so instantly comfortable, and we loved the convenience of amenities nearby. And yes, there is a pub next door. For the three days of Christmas it was incredibly raucous - they clearly had a licence extension until midnight. The music did boom through the walls and there were a lot of people outside - loud but friendly. However, once Christmas was over you wouldn't even have known there was a pub there it was so quiet. There are loads of takeaways and restaurants nearby. The Indian - Shapla - I can highly recommend. "
