Absolutely loved our stay, thank you Giovanni. The house is beautiful with a lovely big swimming pool and plenty of shaded areas to sit in.The house is close to Ragusa and only about 10 minutes drive to good supermarkets (we used the bigger interspar) and is just over an hour away from Syracuse and 1.5 hours from Catania airport. Really good location to chill out and enjoy some peace and quiet and to explore the south of the island. Beautiful sandy beaches were also just 25 minutes away. It took about 3.75 hours to drive from the house to Palermo/Cefalu (which are also worth visiting).Giovanni was a very good host and though we couldn’t speak each other’s language, we used google translate and that worked absolutely fine.Definitely recommend this place for a stay in Sicily.

Très belle expérience

Nous avons passé trois merveilleuses semaines chez Giovanni et Carmen. Tout était au rendez-vous pour que nous passions de très bonnes vacances. La location est top, la piscine aussi; c’est très propre. Giovanni est très à l’écoute, réactif et tout en restant discret. Nous recommandons sans réserve cette location.

Peaceful villa

We have just come home from a weeks stay in the villa. If you are lookin from time out from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place!! The villa is hard to find down a long track however we dropped a pin at the start of the track an had no problems. The owners came to meet us the 1st night even though it was 1am. They were on hand throughout our stay via WhatsApp for and questions we had. Its around a 30 min drive out to the beach which I'd amazing. The pool is a decent size and a great relief in the heat, with sunbeds on hand to catch a tan. Deffo the best villa out of our group of family that were in sicily for my brothers wedding. The air con was also fantastic to help us cool down from the outside temps

Super location !

Nous avons passé un super séjour. La location est très propre, très confortable, de plein pied et bien équipée. Située à la campagne, au calme et à proximité de toutes commodités. Merci à Giovanni et Carmen pour leur chaleureux accueil. Nous espérons revenir ! Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Sehr erholsame Ferien

Wir hatten bei Giovanni tolle Familienferien. Wir waren mit unseren vier Kindern drei Wochen in dem Ferienhaus, das sehr gepflegt ist. Der Garten ist groß und wird automatisch bewässert, dadurch war er auch bei sehr großer Hitze (45 Grad) grün. Der Pool ist eine fantastische Abkühlung. Es stehen genügend Sonnenschirme und Sonnenliegen zur Verfügung. Die Klimaanlage hat uns problemlos durch die heissen Nächte gebracht. Ein Doppelzimmer mit angeschlossenem Bad ist separat in einem zusätzlichen Häuschen untergebracht. Giovanni ist stets bei Bedarf ansprechbar und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Er kam regelmäßig zur Kontrolle des Pools vorbei. Wir haben es sehr genossen und können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

Remote Sicilian get away

Peaceful, relaxing get-away in the Sicilian countryside. Gorgeous outdoor space and landscape, wonderful pool. Good kitchen. One of the double bedrooms with en-suite is accessed via a separate front door which wasn't clear from the listing. Otherwise all was as appears in the pictures, Giovanni the host is very accommodating and helpful (we communicated via Google translate!) and we really appreciated the welcome food package when we arrived late evening. We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Super séjour!

Petite maison hyper chaleureuse ! Giovanni et son épouse sont avenants et avaient prévu de petites attentions à notre arrivée. La maison est très propre et climatisée. L’accès y est sécurisé. Il est indispensable d’avoir une voiture lors de votre séjour. La piscine est super agréable et très grande. Nos enfants ont adoré. Je recommande cette maison pour passer un agréable séjour en Sicile à +/-30km de la mer. L’endroit est donc calme et paisible

Carmen und Giovanni nebst Mama waren herzlich Gastgeber. Wir sind toll empfangen worden.

Das Objekt bietet tolle Erholung in mitten von Feldern und Vögel. Der Pool ist wahnsinnig schön. Danke für die Rollstuhl Schrägen. Wir können das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Beautiful and tranquil

We have just returned from 2 gorgeous weeks in Sicily with our 2 children aged 6 and 8. The accommodation was perfect for our requirements and the pool and outside area were absolutely stunning. The hosts were very kind and met us when we couldn’t find the house despite it being 10pm. Gianni brought us and the children lemon granite a couple of times which was absolutely delicious. The surrounding area is very quiet and was exactly what we were hoping for with an easy drive into nearby Ragusa which is beautiful and also a short drive down to the coast. It was very hot when we were there and the excellent air conditioning made such a difference especially at bedtime. All in all we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend both the location and the accommodation.

Très agréable villa

Nous avons logé pendant 1 semaine dans cette très agréable petite villa avec nos 3 enfants. Elle est bien située ce qui nous a permis de bien visiter le sud de l’ile. La piscine est grande et c’est la cerise sur le gâteau. Par contre, la cuisine manque d’équipement. Pas de plat à gratin pour le four, que 2 bols pour les céréales le matin. Qu’un bol à salade, rien pour éplucher les légumes... Il manquait aussi des cintres dans les armoires pour suspendre les vêtements. Mais ceci ne nous a pas empêché de passer de merveilleuses vacances!! Je vous la recommande sans hésiter!

Peaceful & Relaxing villa with great outdoor space

We spent two weeks at this villa in June 2019. It's a lovely villa if you want somewhere that's a little out of the way (rural), relaxing and peaceful with lots of outdoor space and a great pool. The hosts were very pleasant and they spoke/ understood our English much better than our Italian! Even though they live next to the villa they moved out for the 2 weeks, giving us our privacy( which was very good of them, they did come back occasionally just to check we were okay.) The villa is a little basic inside but had everything we needed, the big plus was that it had lots of outside space and a lovely pool. Supermarkets are about 6-7 mins away by car. Ragusa not that far but takes about 20mins by car because of the roads! And be prepared for lots of steps to walk up/down once you get there! A peaceful, relaxing holiday. Thanks Carmen & Giovanni

Magnifique

Merci à Gianni, Carmen et leurs enfants pour l'accueil dans cette jolie maison. Propre, fonctionnelle et construite avec amour. La piscine est la cerise sur le gâteau. Adresse plus que parfaite pour visiter la région. Sans compter les attentions particulières que Gianni vous fera découvrir si vous le méritez. En plus d'avoir passé de merveilleuses vacances nous avons fait une jolie rencontre. Méssage personnel : tendres caresses à nos deux anges gardiens.

Amazing pool, loads of outdoor space, quality property

We spent a fantastic 10 days here. The pool is a good size and beautifully clear, the shaded and open outdoor spaces and the parasols mean that whatever the weather there's somewhere nice to sit. The house is nicely finished, clean, modern and enough space for the 4 of us. Aircon really nice for the nights when needed. The relaxed and friendly owners gave us all we needed, including a pile of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from their garden. We only saw them twice so almost complete privacy for our entire stay (except for the kitten who adopted us for the week, we had no choice - she decided she was staying 😋). The location is very rural, down a long track so the car was essential for getting out to shops, beaches etc. Nearby Ragusa lovely to visit in the evening, good range of beaches within 20-40 mins. Would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful break with an awesome pool and great outdoor space.

Alles wunderbar!

Carmen und Giovanni sind tolle Gastgeber und kümmern sich rührend, ohne in irgendeiner Form aufdringlich zu sein. Giovannis Pizza ist klasse. Unterkunft und Pool sind toll. Die Kinder haben sich auch sehr über die Katzen gefreut. Nur zu empfehlen.

Location location location

We spent a lovely two weeks here - the owners were very proactive ( contacting us in advance and arranging a meeting place so we could get to the villa... all through the powers of google translate. The villa itself is a secure compound surrounded by its own little oasis and has a beautiful pool and garden. It's all about the outside space here. The location is good- 20 mins into ragusa old town and about the same to the lovely beaches of marina de ragusa- modica is only 30mins away and Syracuse about an hour and a half . We had a wonderful time here. The only minor points (like the French review) the villa is a little light on self catering essentials like wine glasses, cheese grater , oven dishes and for people like me who like to make pasta / pizza anything like a rolling pin or pasta machine. At the time of our visit there were cats and kittens there which our kids loved but my wife is allergic so this was a bit of an issue (resolved by carrying a water pistol at all times!) The owners have noted not all people are animal lovers now :) All in all an excellent stay in peaceful surrounds. Grazie Mille!

Excellent séjour à Ragusa !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de deux semaines dans cette maison, qui est aménagée de façon moderne et très pratique. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié la terrasse ombragée qui nous protégeait des fortes chaleurs la journée. La piscine est d'une belle taille (5m x 10m environ) et elle est bordée par un beau jardin et une terrasse. Ses alentours sont très bien aménagés, avec de nombreux transats et chaises longues, des petites tables très conviviales, des parasols et toujours la possibilité d'être à l'ombre ou au soleil, selon ses envies. Nos enfants ont également bien profité de la balançoire. Enfin, nous évaluons à un niveau "5 étoiles" les qualités d'accueil de Carmen et Gianni, discrets mais toujours à l'écoute et disponibles. Ils ont réussi à nous faire sentir comme chez nous ! Merci tout spécialement à Gianni pour la granita al limone préparée lors d'un de nos retours d'excursion ainsi que pour la soirée pizza maison. Un régal ! La région est très belle, avec toutes les villes baroques à proximité (Ragusa, Modica, Noto, Scicli). Nous avons également pu, de la maison, partir un peu plus loin, jusqu'à Syracuse, jusqu'à l'Etna que nous avons gravi, ainsi que jusqu'à Taormine et Agrigente (prévoir 2+ heures de route pour ces destinations). En bref, nous recommandons chaleureusement cette maison et nous remercions encore vivement Gianni et Carmen !

EXCELLENT SEJOUR A RAGUSE VILLE BAROQUE EN SICILE

La maison est située dans la campagne de Raguse, très belle ville baroque du sud de la Sicile (pour trouver la maison nous avons utilisé l'application Abritel téléchargée sur notre mobile qui nous a vraiment été d'un grand secours car l'adresse est inconnue des GPS, sinon pas de panique, vous appellerez Gianni, l'epoux de Carmen qui vous récupérera au Mc Donald de Raguse ou ailleurs). La maison est en tout point conforme aux photos qui se trouvent sur le site internet, située vraiment au calme, et très propre à notre arrivée, nous y avons passé d'excellentes vacances à la fois reposantes grâce au jardin et à la piscine privée dont nous avons pu profité à deux avec grand bonheur (les propriétaires étant ailleurs mais joignables à tout moment) mais aussi culturelles puisque depuis la maison nous avons visité Catane, Taormina, Syracuse, Scicli, Noto, Donnafugata, Modica, la vallée des temples à Agrigente (sommes tout de même restés à l'hôtel vu la distance), la villa romana del casale, les marinas du sud etc. L'accueil de Gianni qui ne parle pas le français a été très sympathique et nous avons beaucoup apprécié sa gentillesse et les produits achetés pour notre arrivée (pâtes, sauce tomate, café, gâteaux, fruits, lait etc.). Les supermarchés sont situés eux à environ 5km de la maison et on y trouve des fruits et des légumes délicieux (tout le contraire de Paris...). D'excellents restaurants locaux se trouvent aussi à Raguse haute (Taverna del lupo) ou basse (losteri) et bien d'autres. Juste une petite critique car il faut bien s'améliorer Gianni et Carmen mais ne le prenez pas mal surtout : pour des cuisiniers comme nous il manque dans la cuisine de grands couteaux de cuisine (nous en avons acheté un grand et vous l'avons laissé), un presse agrume, une râpe à parmesan, un grille pain, un panier à salade, un aspirateur, et surtout des verres à vins (nous en avons acheté 2 chez INTERSPAR mais les avons emportés pour nos futurs voyages...) car des français ne peuvent pas boire du Prosecco ou du vin dans un verre inadéquat :-). Sinon nous avons vraiment passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette maison et vous remercions tous les deux pour votre gentillesse et votre aide pendant notre séjour et aussi pour toutes les herbes aromatiques dont nous avons pu profiter gracieusement. Au plaisir de vous revoir peut être un jour à Paris.
