"This home has a lot of nice things going for it. The view of Lake Glenville is beautiful and the location is convenient-- about 7 minutes to town and 2 minutes to Signal Ridge Marina. Check-in was seamless and communication with the management company was generally prompt. The home appeared to have been professionally cleaned, with basic toiletries provided, which we appreciated. The bedrooms are spacious and there is ample parking for three cars (which is not always the case in the mountains). Our family also enjoyed playing table tennis and the kids liked the provided board games.There are, however, a few things to be aware of. First, although the view is great, the screened porch is dark and the road noise is quite loud. Given that we travel to western NC to enjoy the outdoors, this was a little disappointing. Second, the furnishings felt sparse--adequate, but not particularly comfortable or high-end. Third, we noticed quite a few ants inside. Fourth, we had a couple instances where the water to the home shut off completely. I am not sure what the cause was, and thankfully it only lasted a few minutes each time, but this was not ideal during a shower.Overall, we had a nice stay, but in our experience, there are more luxurious properties in Cashiers at the same price point."

"Absolutely charming cabin, cosy and well equipped. Special decorative touches in every room gave such a warm feel. Loved the porches, comfy outdoor seating and view of the water. It took our kids about 5 minutes to locate the tube and plunge into the river. Lush vegetation, great for walking. Such a great family vacation property!"

"This property is beautiful and has stunning views of the lake. It is spacious, very tastefully decorated with art, and the kitchen is outstanding with anything you might need during your stay. Everything was very clean. And the hosts are very kind and welcoming. The road up to the property is very curvy so the hosts are cirrect when they say do not drive it for the first time in the dark. We did fine though with a car and SUV. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys the mountains and lake views. It is very peaceful."

"Everything about our stay was wonderful. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials to feed our large family. The view from the master bedroom was spectacular in the morning as the sun rose. Our grandchildren loved playing in the lake and walking on the sandbar to fish off the little island and my grandson caught his biggest fish ever casting toward the tree limbs in the water. Lots of room to spread out in the house and yet gather together for meals and cooking in the expansive kitchen. We had a fabulous time and all my children want to come back next year."

"I concur with all of the positive reviews which are accurate in their descriptions. The bed is a great couple’s bed, super comfy. We loved having the whole of the large bottom deck to ourselves for breakfast in the morning, and glasses of wine at night. As of June, 2026, both cell service and WiFi aren’t great, so I recommend downloading everything (playlists, maps, movies) ahead of time. As most everyone has correctly mentioned, Debi is a fantastic and thoughtful host. We’ll be coming back again. Recommended: Hikes - High Falls South Trailhead (5min drive) w/1mi walk to the falls - Panthertown Valley Trailhead (35min drive) w/numerous trails. Restaurants: The Local (10min drive) and a minute down the road is Happs Place, both with good food and live music. There’re numerous places to put in for paddling and the lake is beautiful."
