"This beautiful historic hotel is in downtown St. Paul with a beautiful view of the Capitol, close to the metro trams, museums and lots of historic sites. The decor of the hotel and bar are reminiscent of the days of old. The breakfast area was comfortable with a nice daily selection. The bar is classic with a friendly staff. As stated, there is no parking on site. We spent $20-30 per night at a local garage. The television guide displayed a variety of channels, but about 15 of the stations were unavailable. We also had issues with our AC, which were quickly resolved. The fire station and trams can be noisy. It’s noisy during the day, but all quiets down in the evening."

"Well worth the money. Happy hour buffet each night and the breakfast buffet with real food made fresh. Clean rooms, fast elevators and easy access to the property. Only problem was the pool was closed for one day due to unforeseen emergency repairs. We will stay here again."

"Everything was very nice; except the shower! We had a handicapped accessible room, and the shower drain didn’t work, and there was no lip or anything on the base of the shower. So the entire bathroom flooded with about an inch of water! Even went onto the carpet in the room outside the bathroom. We only stayed for one night, so it didn’t really bother us, because we were leaving. We told the front desk and they were very nice and said they would take care of it."
