"Mariposa is the best kept secret in Placencia - my experience was excellent, end to end. It’s a beautiful beach front property with amazingly friendly staff (and central A/C!) that made our stay extremely enjoyable and memorable. We found it to be a great choice over some of the nicer, comparable options like Turtle Inn, since Mariposa has more of a boutique vibe, and we felt offered a better value overall. "Ray Caye Island Resort was a little slice of heaven for us! My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary and stayed in the honeymoon suite l, which I would highly recommend for its privacy and amazing view. We had our own private splash pool, and we were steps away from reclining by the ocean. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. The drinks and food were delish! The excursions were awesome! The best snorkeling I have ever experienced, and the fishing was so fun, including catching a record size barracuda! We could socialize as much as we wanted but also have alone time. This was definitely a five-star experience and worth every penny! Next time we're bringing friends and family!"
