The location of the property was fantastic, a easy walk into town center. A bus stop right outside gave access to all parts of the island. A convenience store out front held essential supplies including prepared meals.
I’m a previous visitor to the Cook Islands, this was a quick holiday to escape months of long work weeks! The inn was near Avarua but not in town, only a short walk, some good restaurants close by and a shop next door. It’s not a full service high end resort, more of a beach bungalow to use as a base to explore Raro. Beach is narrow and reef very close in this part of the island but you’ll have it to yourself. If you want multiple beach bars and wide open lagoons to swim in you won’t find it here but I just wanted a nice inexpensive place near town., With my hired scooter I could easily get anywhere on the island in 30-40 min. Its a pretty drive anyway! The room was basic but clean and everything worked, no aircon but didn’t need it. No kitchen but small fridge, sink and microwave. It had an upper loft and hot water that took a couple minutes but worked . The hotel has a nice back deck and open bar area but under renovation during my stay. I had seen some reviews about staff not being around or not helpful but I certainly did not get that impression, the owners very helpful. My only issue was that I think it could be quite noisy if rooms were all occupied, but. I also had a middle room. it was off season during my visit and only a few guests but one night it was quite loud quite late but that was the only time. Otherwise I was happy with my visit, at the price I wished to pay. Getting around the island is very easy so I had no need for a pricey ‘resort’ further away.
This is basic accommodation. We had a clean comfortable room. The place is old but met all our simple needs. The location is a short walk to town. The bus stops outside the Inn and is an easy way to travel the whole island. A big shout out to the manager Chantelle who made every step of our trip simple and pleasant.
I had booked for 9 nights but only stayed 1 night. This place is not as they advertise, it is so outdated and in need of desperate repair! Such a shame as it is in a great beach front location close to everything.
A very dated old motel that's been run into the ground. No Air Conditioning in a tropical climate makes it impossible to sleep on hot days. The common areas are bleak and run down. Didn't encounter a single staff member in my one-night stay, so it was pretty much a self-service motel.
The staff were so excellent, caring and so kind. Really clean comfortable room, a huge thank you.

This dear old Hotel is a bit run down, but its positives far outweigh the negatives. The rooms are large, Beds are spotlessly clean and all sheets, pillowcases etc also spotless. The patio/deck outside is large, with several sunloungers, tables & chairs etc.. It has a nice kitchen/diner for cooking your own meals or for inviting friends/visitors for a meal. You can buy food and wine or beers from the shop next door from 6am to 10 pm. There is a microwave and jug in your room and the rooms 1 to 7 are the larger of this 14 bed hotel. Its cheap and cheerful but has and offers all you are likely to need. Bus at the door. 5 -7 mins walk to Avarua town centre and 4-5 mins from Trader Jacks bar & Restaurant, Vibe cafe also near for breakfast, dinner or tea. Other restaurants, bars and niteclubs close too. I would be happy to stay here again.
Paradise Inn has character. A charming wee place, close to town. We were treated with respect from all staff, and enjoyed chatting with fellow travelers watching the sun go down over the horizon.

Location is central to town & everything. Bus stop and shop onsite are very convenient. Helpful and approachable staff.
They were very friendly and helpful to deal with. The location is great just close to the city. It is quite noisey as the windows are open. It was an older style and not kept very well but you get what you pay for as it was cheap.
It was the worst. Mould in fridge doors stained chairs no hot water for 4 out of 6 days kettle broken toaster didn’t work asked to move as I complained too much pets in and out of your rooom house Jeep was only done 2 days blankets removed lied too noted left in my door twice all I asked for was hot water and told why it’s hot over here you don’t need hot water. Blamed for the manager going to hospital and asked to buy smokes from duty free not just us but everyone in the entire hotel
Yep some 50th surprise no people skills she just keep blaming the house keeping staff for everything. Hot water issue I was told that they didn’t run on our system so how was she surposed to know . I was dumbfounded. Then told by letter that we can move I said I never asked to move I just asked for the basic stuff that worked and a extra blanket so they took that away and we had to sleep in our clothes to scare to say anything to them even on our last day no towels to dry ourselves with bed was not made rubbish not collected horrible time. We save for two years for that and we have a disabiled child that cost us 3 k to have her looked after while we relived our honey moon. Was not expecting that level of service at all shocked disappointed and embraced and a waste of our money.
Dobra lokalizacja za rozsądną cenę. Ogromny plus za bezproblemowe pozostanie w pokoju po wymeldowaniu do wieczornego lotu i to z inicjatywy obsługi :-)

Friendly and Good Value
Convenient position short walk from main town on the island, and bus stop right outside for easy access to whole island. Friendly, helpful owner and staff. Comfortable room and nice sea views from the terrace. Not top-luxury, but very reasonable price for the island.
hotel top, la gerante vraiment adorable, serviable, disponible. peut organiser les transferts sin on souhaite. a deux pas du centre.
