Pros&cons but nice place with attention to detail

It is a nice place close to the train station. They offer breakfast. I recommend you to agree with them the time of arrival. We did not as we read they have a bar in the same building but when we arrived the lady in the bar had to phone the one in charge of the keys and the B&B who was supposed to be in 2 minutes, but it took almost 10. We were offered a coffee or drink (we were not told if we had to pay for that or not this is why we did not accept it as this is not normal in a CentralEuropean standard). We were in a hurry. The stay is worth, but the walls are thin and all the rooms are connected to a common corridor which means that anyone making noise at 6 in the morning will be waking up everyone as it happened with a couple of Italian ladies who were chatting and talking loudly since then. You have coffee and tea facilities in the room and everything is well prepared and nice style with a good attention to detail that makes you feel at home. Do not stay if you look for a quiet place. Some of the clients, the doors (make noise when opening) and the streets around are not quiet. Hosts try to be nice, but some are very limited in their language skills different to English.

Chaotic and disorganized, but friendly!

Location was its best feature (across the street from the train station). You have to call beforehand to make an appointment to check-in since there is no front desk. Service was very chaotic (they misunderstood how many people were staying in the room, they didn't know we had already paid for the room, they gave us the key to the wrong room's safe, etc.) but they made up for it by being friendly and cheerful unlike many other hotels in northern Italy where the staff can be frosty and awkward. Breakfast was the poorest we had in Italy, a country already renowned for its poor hotel breakfasts ... just some cakes, cookies and cereal, with no meat, cheese or other "non-sweet" items. The room also took a very long time to heat up to a comfortable temperature, given the very weak heating system. At least we got a good price for the room (this was the cheapest hotel we stayed at in Italy).
