Lovely comfortable room (the fan was much appreciated), and extremely helpful staff. The pub has great cozy atmosphere and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Great place to stay.
Such a lovely stay even if it was just for a night! Jayne was lovely and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was also a delight and overall I could’ve stayed longer! Highly recommend.
Clean room, with a comfortable bed and very good shower. Dinner and breakfast were terrific - good portions. The staff were very friendly and the bar/dining areas were great to spend an evening in. Lovely location too.
Lovely welcome and excellent service.
Room was clean and well equipped and I had a good night's sleep.
While there I had dinner and breakfast and could not fault the food quality or portion size.
I will definitely be staying there the next time I am in the area.
Great location, local bus to Henley ever hour.Landlady/ owner and all staff could not have been more pleasant and helpfully.Good pub type menu {excellent smoked salmon]
Will return later this year.
We had a friendly welcome from Jane and her staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The pub closed early on Sunday night, so we had to go elsewhere for food, but it meant a very peaceful night. Strongly recommended!
Amazing stay with Jane and her fabulous welcoming team.
The hospitality we received from start to finish over our 3 night stay was incredible. We had great starts to our mornings with a good hearty breakfast and ended each night by eating in the Bull too. Both meals were great. 5stars all the way from us Geordies x hope to stay again
The Bull is a delightfully traditional and cosy inn. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff, especially Jayne, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.. Our bedroom was very nice but we found the bed very creaky and there was rather too much noise from the traffic than we'd have liked. Otherwise we'd have given top marks..
I stayed here overnight for an early business meeting - I wish I was here for leisure! What an absolute little gem of a pub - traditional decor, traditional food and the most traditional British service from a lovely friendly team. Jayne and her team members really make this place worth visiting - their host skills and friendly nature were worth every penny.
I stayed in Room 1, a quirky little room at the top of the crooked pub. The ensuite bathroom was spotlessly clean and the little touches (light up mirror, bin, lovely bodywash etc) made it perfect. Some hotels I have stayed in don't even have a full length mirror! The lovely comfy bed with handy tea facilities, bottled water and biscuits made a perfect rest stop after my long drive. I didn't bother with the TV but it was adequate. I was greeted by the pub dogs on the stairs the next morning, so I stayed for a scritchy scratch and cuddles!
The breakfast was amazing - granola, fresh fruit and tea / coffee, with a choice of hot breakfast cooked to order. I chose the "Savoy", smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, which was absolutely delicious. All in all, I absolutely loved my stay here and wish it was closer for a weekend away with husband!
The only slight downside (and not the fault of the hotel) was the lack of convenient parking. There is a local car park with complicated rules (different tiers of parking, free after 10pm but you have to pay from 6am, so bang goes that lovely lie-in!)
