"Hallway smelled horrible. Obviously ppl were cooking in their rooms. Shower rod had been pulled down and there were rotten spots in the wall around the tub where water had gotten into the sheet rock. And of course there was mold. Ceiling tiles in the hallway falling down and broken. We checked our immediately."

"The house was nice and clean, but the reason this gets a 3 is that I've never felt so unwelcome by a host before.A few days before our arrival date, we got a message from the host that made Apple's terms & conditions look like light reading.Some of the highlights in the message included a threatening sentence about not doing anything illegal because there is a cop that lives on the block (yes, really), letting you know a 25 fee will be charged if any towels get dirty with makeup, and many other warnings of extra charges for several reasons. By the time you are done reading you are afraid to just breathe in the house.This repeats itself with the checkout message that opens with a warning that a lost tv controller will be 25.The house is also filled with warnings about what not to do.Aside from all this, we requested if we could check out 1 hour early or 1 hour late (checkout was 10am), and off course, there was a 50 charge per hour. For checkout the owners said the cleaners arrive promptly at 10am so we had to be out of the house, or a charge would be added. We waited outside the house for our uber about 20 minutes, and the cleaners did not arrive "right at 10am" haha.I've stayed in many short-term rentals and so have my friends, and we've never experienced such an unwelcoming host. I would not stay at this property again for that reason."

"This hotel at Masidon Heights had no room service for our 4 day stay. The carpets were filthy and sticky. The bed was so uncomfortable and the sheets didnt stay on. The bed folded in and was SUPER high up. I am 5'8" and struggled to get in. Then rolled in and sunk to the middle. The smoke detector didnt even have a battery installed. Nor was it plugged into the wall. I went to the front desk to get fresh towels and toilet paper after the 2nd day, and inquired about the room service. The lady said yes they had room service. We were scheduled for Saturday room service, but they didnt do room service on the weekends. How does this make any sense? The phone in the room was plugged in but didnt work. No dial tone. Yes, I hit 9, still nothing. No front desk with or with out the 9. The pictures posted for this hotel were not at all what I saw at this place. The last two pictures of the lobby and the front desk are accurate. $92 a night and it was not well maintained. The ceiling in the bathroom was patched for a prior leak. Not worth the money. This area has gone way down and I do not recommend this hotel to stay at if you are traveling alone, if you know what I mean. This hotel is also independently owned and operated. So, there is no basic standard."
