Very easy to find right off the highway but far enough away that road noise was not an issue (there is a closer road but it was partially closed so road noise was even lower than normal). Behind a secure automatic gate with a few other accommodations. The drive up to the stay was fairly steep so be aware you may need to push the gas up the gravel more than you're comfortable doing. "Beautiful location near the redwoods. House is older, but great for families to gather (larger living room and dining room and kitchen). There are lots of stairs between bedrooms, so not great for crawling babies. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, but not well organized (we had to open every drawer when looking for something). Loved the redwoods in the backyard and beautiful view. Living room needs a new smoke detector."

"This home is an amazing piece of history in an amazing little town! Built in 1919, it has been updated with the necessary amenities but keeps its historic charm. Lots to do in and around this home. "We enjoyed the hot tub! Especially after running The Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon. Property is a bit older, but quaint and comfortable. Had fewer beds than listed at booking. Easy drive to a nearby market in Garberville. Loved our stay."

The tent/furnishings were very comfortable. Bugs were plentiful between 7 and 9 at night. Spray was supplied but be prepared if you plan to hang out during those hours. "We are happy that we chose this property. We will definitely stay here again. The service, staff and property was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was very clean and the food was good. We left another hotel due to uncleanliness and poor service and facilities and were extremely pleased that we chose the Best Western Country Inn. Stephanie, the night manager, was very helpful with our transition from one hotel to their hotel. You will not be disappointed if you choose this hotel."
