This is an amazing find tucked into the quaint harbor area of Lewes. The hotel is well-appointed and welcoming and the room was spotless, huge, and beautifully decorated. The little touches really made the stay, from the koi pond on the patio outside to the taffy on the pillows instead of mints. The pool was small but refreshing. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to help resolve any issues. Well worth it!

This property is outstanding for two basic reasons: location---the beachfront views are unbeatable (the ground floors may not have a view, it should be noted). Also, the staff were phenomenal. It seems that they are especially trained to be personable, interested, and thoughtful. Truly impressive 5 star quality of service. The only thing that is unfortunate are our friends who require elevators. The hotel doesn't have elevators for the rooms with great views.

We loved our stay at the Ocean Glass Inn. The rooms were cute and very comfortable, including a mini fridge and freezer. The showers were hot and we liked the added touch of a bench outside each room. The breakfast and happy hours were great and generous in what they offered. Staff was all very friendly. Welcoming staff. You could smell the cleanliness when you walked in the front door. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Clean rooms (& I’m hard to impress in that department) with the exception of a couple of spots on the ceiling that I’m pretty sure could be easily cleaned off. I feel like we really lucked out with this stay. Planned only 2 weeks prior, we booked accommodations last minute and took a chance on Avondale. It was perfect! Right on Beach Ave. in Cape May, we had view of the ocean from our balcony area. Upon booking, I received a call within 30 minutes from Avondale to confirm our stay and to ask us if we were OK with with walking up the stairs to 2nd or 3rd floor as there is no elevator. Not a problem for us and the 2nd floor facing the beach was perfect....
