"A delightful and recently refurbished hotel with lots of character, very friendly staff and a great range of high quality food / drink available - very highly recommended!"
"Acorn Lodge was a great place for us to stay to visit a friend in Aldeburgh, eat out at The Lighthouse and The Regatta and to enjoy a day full of companionable relaxation in the countryside. My friend has mobility issues and the Lodge proved to be excellent accommodation for her need. Pristine facilities, thorough cleanliness and thoughtful little extras made this stay memorable for us."
"A lovely hotel with lots of different comfortable seating areas. Fantastic food and lovely rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and the surrounding area. "
"I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to The Railway
at Westerfield.
Great location with easy access to trains and a large car park on site.
The staff are great also, plus wonderful food.
Much to like about the Railway Inn. "
"Turned up check-in was dead easy. I thought I was booking a room at a B&B but it turned out it was virtually a whole flat so very pleased and surprised. A very comfortable evening and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again."
"We stayed here for one night and it was perfect for that. The ladies in the pub are super friendly and we enjoyed the big breakfast and evening dinner. "
"A lovely stay and great location for exploring Suffolk. Comfortable, well equipped cottage on lovely grounds with lake, games room (which our kids loved) and goslings."
"A relatively new hotel near the centre of Ipswich. Nothing special and ok for a travelodge. The rooms are fairly small and there is not much room to spread out with your luggage. The biggest negative is the lack of free WiFi in the rooms. This is not acceptable in a modern hotel."

Country Cottage Set In pretty Suffolk village with 2 local pubs, dog friendly
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Christina was a a welcoming and brilliant host and it’s clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into the cottage which has everything you’d need but more than that has some great touches to make it extra special. The village is quiet and peaceful with lovely walks and pubs nearby and is situated in an ideal place for visiting lots of sights and experiences of Suffolk. All-in-all, we couldn’t recommend Potts Cottage enough. We’ll certainly be back! "
"It was an idyllic setting in a glade backing onto the golf course with squirrels scampering about. But the 'shepherds' hut itself was far from idyllic. It was grubby and the wood burner hadn't been cleared and ash was strewn about. The gate legged table was rickety, held together by blocks of wood nailed underneath. The cupboards were so stiff the knob came off and it was jammed shut.It wasn't well equipped - only one glass tumbler and two mugs one of which was broken. There were no bin liners anywhere so disposing of the rubbish was impossible, and had just one tea towel. It was supposed to have Sky TV and a DVD player - not that it bothered us. But the fittings were there and DVDsThe worst thing was, although we had a lovely shower, there was no hot water. The owner kindly sorted the missing shepherd's pie - it was delicious. But I had no reply when I emailed her afterwards about our concerns"
"Nice room very clean staff pleasant but bar area in need of a bit of love snd attention. Breakfast very good but placement of things s bit odd. Why is the butter with the fresh fruit section and not by the toaster and bread and jams !? Also tea making area very congested and when busy you have to wait a very long time to access the hot water/ coffee machine. "
"Our whole family group really enjoyed our stay in Buoys Cottage Orford. The house had lots of space for us all and the children especially liked the playroom with pool table, lawn for football and firepit. Within easy walking distance were great mini store, bakery with coffee, chocolate shop and smokery. Orford Castle and Quay were a short walk away too, and walks around the coast and forests."
