No amenities on site but there are several good eateries with 5 minutes walk. A nice place for exploring the area from Figueres to Cadaques. "

"It was a very special time for us to be in Philippe’s rental in Laroque-des-Alberes for five plus weeks this winter. The house is one of the most spacious and comfortable we’ve rented during our decades of travel. Especially nice is the sunlight that brightens every room. Though there were only two of us, the house would easily accommodate 4-6. It has everything in the ways of need and convenience: kitchen supplies along with a good selection of staples, washing machine, great shower, and reliable internet. On each of the two floors are two patios as well, one when you need shade and the other to bask in the sun. The house is wonderfully located in the heart of the town, and for convenience a boulangerie/patisserie, a small grocery with an excellent selection of cheeses, and a butcher are a very short walk away. There are also several restaurants close by.The history and culture of the area are rich and deep from the many, many beautiful Romanesque and medieval chapels, abbeys, churches to the modern artists who worked in Seret, Collioure, and Banyuls-sur-Mer. And the stunning varied landscape of the region is a walker/ hiker’s delight with exceedingly well-signed trails along the sea coast and in the hills, mountains, and valleys.All of this coupled with the kindness and thoughtfulness of Philippe made our stay a full and filling one of pure pleasure."

"Actual hotel was ok but having taking authorisation details earlier while booking I was then charged again at the hotel .Actually two payments were attempted to be taken from my saved debit card ! HSBC contacted me regarding fraud attempts and blocked my card.But even worse than that the female on reception was aggressive and shouted non stop."

"Everything was great. The only problem was that the Expedia booking didn't go through although I did get a confirmation, from Expedia. Fortunately they still had a room available so we got in. It cost me an extra thirty euros though but I was too tired to make an issue out of it, especially as it was Expedia fault according to the receptionist. "

"The check in was very easy and receptionist friendly. Room was basic but clean and a/c good. The hotel is on the main road, but room was quiet and slept well. There was parking available in front of the hotel on the service road"

"Our group of 10 had a fantastic holiday last week in Sorède. The outdoor area was great, the pool area was super and would be improved further with a few additional sun loungers. We barbecued and ate outside each night and it was great. There’s a large outdoor dining table. The accommodation was very good. 2 good sized and well fitted out shower rooms. 2 kitchen areas which were spacious and well equipped. The cooling floor is good but the bedrooms were warm at night. It’s less effective than air conditioning, it helps to an extent. We’ve suggested additional fans to help with cooling the rooms at night. The rooms on the top floor were particularly warm. We walked to the town each morning to get fresh pastries and bread. Some of the walk is on the road although it’s mostly quiet. We found it a really good walk. The hosts recommended a bakery in Saint André, the next town. That would be more than a walk. There is a good Intermarche with petrol station in Saint André. There are some good but challenging walks from the property into the hills. Take plenty of water, it will be hot! We loved the beach at Argelés Sur Mer. The coastline here is stunning. We would recommend this property and the hosts were very helpful. Maria responded helpfully to any questions that we had both before and after booking and during our stay. "
