"We enjoyed several aspects of our stay at the Seldovia Seward cabin. Communication with the host was clear and easy! the booking process was seamless, and we received very good instructions for both arrival and checkout. The cabin itself was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, particularly in the kitchen.There are a few things we feel could improve the experience. As a group spending our days exploring Seward and returning to the cabin in the afternoons, we would have appreciated more comfortable seating for relaxing. The living area has one couch and one large chair, and the dining options consist primarily of high tables and high chairs. After a long day of activities, more traditional, comfortable seating would have made a big difference.The biggest issue for us, however, was the noise from the unit above. We are light sleepers, and unfortunately we were awakened around 3:00 a.m. on both nights of our stay. Footsteps, voices, doors closing, and even normal bathroom use from the upstairs unit could be heard very clearly from inside our cabin. The sound transfer between the two units is significant and was by far the most unpleasant part of our stay.Overall, the cabin was clean, well equipped, and managed by a communicative host. With some additional comfortable seating and, most importantly, improvements to the sound insulation between the units, this could be a much more comfortable stay."
