"It is set out as a Luxury apartment but can't really qualify as such. It is nice, but quite noisy as it is right next to a restaurant with live music. Also quite smelly from all the restaurants' grey water just flowing into the lake outside the windows. The bathroom is also very damp with mold on the walls. Everything else was good though, and the hosts were very responsive."

"Overall extremely poor. Construction littered the property, loud bangs and tools served as an alarm clock at 6am until the afternoon. Check in took long as the Vrbo listing address takes you very far from where the house actually is and communication proved to be difficult as well. Also lack of direction with garbage leading to a strong odor"

"terrible communication the entire process. We thought it was in San Marcos as the listing said. We didn't sleep the entire time as it was so noisy. There was mold throughout the entire shower and it was filthy as well as cold. terrible "

"If you do stay in one of the properties this guy owns do NOT give him cash! He is a scammer, asked us to pay him cash because according to him he had not received payment from Vrbo/HomeAway and our pending charge on our credit card would be removed. He charms you with good customer service and seems trust worthy but DO NOT GIVE HIM CASH! We've been trying to get a refund for almost a year now and Vrbo hasn't done anything about it either! "Amazing view and it is close to all the food and bars."

"Nice property located very close to the pier and the shore. If you’re a light sleeper, this may not be the best location to stay. We were given earplugs on arrival but we didn’t need them, we were able to sleep well with the music. Internet was ok, most of the time unstable signal. "Amazing, comfortable accommodations with beautiful views! We were so comfortable here. Enjoyed having a kitchen to cook breakfast after getting fresh eggs and fruit and avocados at the fruit stands each day. Plenty of hot water in the beautiful tile and stone bathroom and plenty of filtered water for drinking and cooking available too. Everything was so easy and made our stay virtually effortless. "I have never been to a hotel with staff this wonderful. The views are idealic. The restaurant on site was excellent and a good value. We felt at home very quickly. The hotel only has 10 total rooms. We were able to chop it up and meet other guests. A+. Staff always cheerful and helpful! I only have one complaint that is the same at every other hotel I have stayed at around Lake Atitlan. That complaint is the dogs! They are barking all night and here is a disco which can get rather loud. The hotel actually has ear plugs laid out for guests when they checkin. "
