"This hotel is absolutely amazing in every way. The owners are lovely, there to greet us when we arrived later than expected. The hotel and rooms are equipped with the most current technology and have everything you need, it is located across from the beach, with their own subbed/umbrellas. One of my favourite hotels I have ever stayed at—I was very sad to leave. "

"We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town."

"One of the reasons we selected this property was because the listing said parking was included. This was not the case. We arrived and double parked on the street while asking where the parking was, and the person at the front desk was shocked we thought there was parking. They were helpful and directed us to a nearby lot with free parking that was otherwise full but we were fortunate to pull up just as someone else was leaving. We were able to park our car there for free for 2 nights without issue. The property was conveniently located. The pool is set in what is similar to a courtyard surrounded by buildings. It's a nice amenity to have but not the most scenic place to relax. The breakfast had a great variety of options and variety from day to day. The elevator was small and stalled often. We opted to take the stairs."
