"Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and one (a hotel valet) even rescued us when he noticed that our car got locked for the night in the public parking garage nearby. The hotel seems a little worn around the edges in general, not surprising considering maintenance challenges of an older property. Cleanliness was good, but not top notch. (The tops of baseboards in our room appeared to not have been vacuumed or wiped down in a long time.) All things considered, we would stay here again, especially if we decide to re-visit Richmond's downtown.
P.S. The state capitol next door to the hotel is a must-see, and we were lucky enough to catch an outstanding tour given there by Martha."
