"The hotel position facing Lake Akan & walking distance to the ferry terminal is top attraction. Dinner & Breakfast were really great, food & dishes were of good quality and fresh. Two comments were that, the hotel does not have parking facilities. Guests need to take a shuttle bus (free of charge) to a public car park 400m-500m away. Also, hotel probably due for refurbishment to give a fresh look. "

"It is located near the Ainu village. There is only one main street selling souvenirs and a watson store. There is a path around lake Akan that you can stroll on. That is about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The onsen on the eight floor was beautiful overlooking the lake akan, but i did not get to use it. They have funky system, odd days women use eight floor. The men use the basement onsen. On even day it’s reversed. The onsen on the basement is still good. The dinner and breakfast buffet are excellent."

"Excellent location. Ample free parking. Excellent use of space in the rooms. Excellent air conditioning. Excellent laundry facilities. Adequate breakfast. The duvet on my bed was stained, though. "

"Staff is very nice and accomodating.Lake front facility, facing great view of the lake. Though small, town is very nice and it has unique character. Room is great but not elegant but I have no reason to complain. Hotel breakfast is very good, I did not try dinner there and assume Japanese food items. Note that food choices outside are limited and many restuarants close by 6PM. Only a ramen place was open late and it was good food there although people smoke inside. If you are driving, make sure gas tank is full as there are not many gas stations in this area of Hokkaido and even those exists open late in the morning. I was a solo traveller, hiker and I truly enjopyed everything there."

"This is a beautiful hotel with great views of the river and countryside. It is quiet and the rooms are very nice. I used the private baths with no waiting. The bar is a great whisky and wine bar. Complimentary ramen was very nice and filling. Other snacks are also given free. Staff were so friendly, and managed around my language barrier with ease and friendliness."

"Check in staff member was outstanding. The room was very clean; normal size for Japan. We appreciated the laundry. Also appreciated guest parking. We felt welcome. Would stay again."
