"Nice, typically rustic Belize style resort. Everyone working there that we interacted with was friendly. Very few rooms occupied the two nights we were there (5 rooms the second night and less than that the first night it seemed), which was good in some ways but not great for the resort. It seems they don't use dynamic pricing because I would have stayed another night if the price wasn't so much higher for the Saturday night stay even though I was told they only had 10 rooms booked for Saturday. The restaurant was good--you pretty much have to eat there unless you want to drive a long way. It would have been nice if the server had told us at breakfast that each coffee refill was an additional charge so we could take that into consideration before asking for more. The Spa on the rooftop which looked like a nice place to relax didn't work but other than that everything was as expected and nice. One of the owners was often around and very friendly. "

"Nicole greeted us with fresh fruit from the farm and flowers. It was nice to disconnect. Beautiful property, woke up to birds and howler monkeys singing every morning. Loved the hammock!"

"We stayed here for two nights in March with our 9 and 15 yr old. The location felt remote but was only 30min from the airport. The accommodation was clean and spacious. We loved the front deck and indoor hammock. Everyone was so kind and helpful! Shanna organized tours and tickets for us at great rates. Rudy picked us up at the airport and stopped at the bakery, produce stand and grocery store. He also took us cave tubing. He was an amazing guide! I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning. "

"Be prepared to live out of your suitcase, no storage, very small casita. Lots of issues with hot water, due to being of grid. Long ways from San Pedro or secret beach so golf cart is a must. "

"Chan Chich is an exquisite adventure melding together experiencing Mayan Ruins, jungle experience with a conservation twist. We loved our daily interactions with staff to include Cali who is an expert mixologist, Emil who made everything look easy, Sean who always had a smile, and the wonderful cook Ian. Every meal was absolutely amazing! Maria and Abdiel took care of all our needs at reception including booking excursions and chartering flights. And of course our expert guides Ruben and Louise who knew every bird and the Gallon Jug Flora and Fauna like professors. They are able to share their knowledge about archaeology, medicinal plants, and wild edibles. They know every animal and animal trail and to be on a tour with them in action is truly an experience of a lifetime! I would tell all my friends about this location and go back again! "I found this property looking for a layover spot. The more I looked at the listing the more appealing it became so I added an extra night. So glad I did!! I rented a car at BZE and drive and it was unbelievably easy to find/get to. The location gives you the impression you’re very far from a city. It’s quiet and private. There is currently construction going on to add new houses, which was not an issue AT ALL. I am very happy for the owners and managers for the added revenue (and there will be a pool!) but I can say that it will be a little less private when they are booking. Nonetheless our stay was incredible and the workers were so considerate. Kenny stopped by with his daughters and they are all so wonderful! We spent only one full day so we hung out with the howler monkeys and visited the Belize zoo and wildlife education center, which is only a very easy 30 minute drive and worth a visit. The monkeys on the property were soooo cool. There is currently an adolescent who is quite curious about people and LOVES to show off. He came right up on the porch to show us his yoga moves. That said, remember they are wild animals - don’t touch or feed them and latch the doors when you leave. The crocodile only made her appearance when we were out but she’s there! Just searching for her and watching the monkeys is activity in itself! There’s a good kitchen and a restaurant about a 3 minute drive away (black orchid, where you are allowed access to the pool - great food and service!)."
