O atendimento é cordial e competente. O café da manhã e o restaurante têm vista pro lago e cozinha muito gostosa. É um ambiente bonito e agradável. "Beautiful place, good location, but the room was too small as it was the bathroom, breakfast was really poor without regional food (bread, eggs, cheese, 2 sorts of fruits, market made cake, ham) no jam, no ‘doce de leite’, no canastra cheese, no skimmed milk. And nobody helped. "

"Excellent strategic location, easily reachable by car on paved roads. The Pousada is small and quiet, and has a wonderful view of the Serra da Canastra. The rooms are adequately sized, clean, and comfortable, and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The town of Vargem Bonita offers various amenities reachable even on foot. Overall, it is an excellent base from which trips can be made further into the national park."

A pousada Mar de Minas fica 4km fora da cidade com acesso por estrada de terra em boas condições (Set/2025). Sua localização permite ótimas paisagens e contato com a natureza e animais do campo.
