"It was not a bad hotel - but it was dated and older. It reminded me of an older hotel in a seaside town that has not been updated for some time. I did read they were doing some updates this Spring. The internet was very slow and cut off several times. The private beach was small - but was cute and nice. The pier was terrific. The staff was pretty nice. There was no screen on the sliding door so I couldnt leave it open and it was tough to regulate the temperature. There also was no extra blanket either but the bed was clean and comfortable. "

"Absolutely horrible cottage. Was 100% misrepresented by VRBO. 40 degrees when we arrived to no electricity! No insulation anywhere! Owners do not live near property & took 2 hours to get electricity turned on. 2 tiny space heaters ineffective. Largest window could NOT be closed. Filthy floors throughout. Kitchen light did not work, owner took 3 days to leave new light bulbs at our door. We had to buy a useable frying pan to cook with. Kitchen sink drained onto the ground outside rather than into a pipe. Living room couch in terrible condition. We could go on & on with complaints, how terribly this entire property of 15 cottages are being managed - 14 couples who previously filled all cottages during winter to be together no longer rent at this property due to the lack of reasonable amount of improvements & even basic management. My wife has a lengthy and more detailed list of unnecessary problems we faced. Who can we speak to about false and misleading advertising??? We feel at least a 33% reimbursement would be appropriate!!!"

"We arrived and there were 2 police officers outside and the woman across the street was screaming about a restraining order. We didn’t feel safe and left immediately. I communicated this directly to the owner and he said he would contact the police to find out what was going on. I never heard back about this. The listing stated sleeps 5. There was no way 5 people could stay there unless you sleep on the air mattress that was thrown on the floor by the washer- not in any kind of bag. The pull out chairs were filthy. There was strange soundproofing panels on the wall in the bedroom and found out later that someone lives in the back room. I feel that we should have been reimbursed for the total cost based on the circumstances, but we were only reimbursed for half of the cost. I do not recommend you stay here. "

"False advertising. Pictures listed on site very deceptive. Cottage was not clean, had strong smell of mold, water smelled of sulphur, unable to open windows, windows and screens dirty with hole in bathroom screen, air conditioners need to be cleaned and replace filters, large cockroaches evident inside home, outlets had two prongs -no three prong available-question safety of electrical, no one on premise to ask for help, bed quilt was soiled, shower floor very slippery- not safe - no safety bar on wall, shower door open to allow very tight movement between toilet and door to exit, mirror old in bathroom- medicine cabinet rusted inside, pots in kitchen scratched enamel inside, drawers had bugs inside of them, refrigerator was dirty inside, had to ask for toilet paper , paper towel , dish wash liquid, these items were very low upon our arrival, leak under kitchen sink with plastic basin with standing water evident, back door very difficult to open, able to see daylight under door, evidence of termites on window and door frames, charcoal grill outside in need of cleaning, screened in front porch area in need of cleaning. Provided with wrong code to open lock box to get key. Key was difficult to use with lock- in need of update. I do realize this is old property but definitely in need of updates for safety , cleanliness.We purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned place. We will not be returning to this property. We will not recommend it to anyone. We will not be using vrbo ."

"Host was fine and easy to contact. The cleanliness of the property was definitely lacking. The cottages are older Florida construction and the three stars are because they are obviously trying but definitely have a ways to go yet. Torn screens and many gaps in the windows allowed the famous Florida insects easy ingress. The dock is new and very nice a perfect place to enjoy wildlife, we saw manatees, sea turtles, countless bird species and dolphins playing in the area was a daily occurrence.The kitchen was not well stocked, the pots and pans definitely on the older worn out side. The bed was very comfortable."

"Overall the stay was decent. The biggest pro was it's proximity to everything we needed oh and the beds were very comfortable to sleep on! There were some nice cool appliances as well especially in the bathroom. The cons however was that some parts of the place didn't match the picture, I'd suggest to remodel & replace some areas for future purposes. But it was an affordable stay and the host was attentive and quick to respond when we had an issue so that outweighs that con. Our stay was good. "
