"we enjoyed our stay at the best Western and Ellijay, Georgia. However, we were not aware of the pool and hot tub being under renovation until after we had paid for our room. Also, we were unaware of them, not having an elevator, which would normally not be a big deal however, one of our guest had recently hurt their back and it was difficult for them to walk up and down the stairs. The staff was amazing, There breakfast was really good. And it's an amazing view."

"Beautiful,clean cabin with many onsite amenities! We enjoyed tubing on the river on property, soaking in the hot tub, making s’mores in fire pit, watching deer and geese roam the yard, visited two pools and played a round of putt putt! We visited and hiked Amicacola Falls, Tumbling Waters and Fort Mountain! We rode the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad and visited downtown Blue Ridge and Ellijay! Wonderful area and cabin convenient to nearby attractions! Jenn was easy to communicate with! Highly recommend this property! Thanks for the wonderful stay!"

"We took 5 great grandchildren to this cabin for a week. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Very kid friendly with plenty of games. The open layout made it easy to watch the kids while cooking. The kids loved the loft and basement rooms. The kids were amazed at the deer coming so close to eat corn and leftover vegetables. Pioneer. Host replies to messages quickly and is very friendly. A great place for a family vacation."

"Views of the river and the screened in porch was amazing. Property is quiet. It’s an older property but was nice. Needs some TLC. If you are looking for a 5 star, this is not your place. If you are looking for a great vacation place and cozy this is your place. I’ll be booking here again in a few months. FYI, we had some bad weather Tuesday nite and a tree fell up by the entrance so the power was off at the gate entrance. My brother and nephew could not get into the property for about 8 hours. They had to sit in the vehicle at the gate until 5 am.. no other way in evidently. Just wanted to give a heads up so be prepared if staying at the Coosawattee River resort. Other than that we had a blast."

Fun Riverside Cabin: Indoor Games+Hot Tub+Firepit

"We had a great stay here for our family spring break! We have 3 young kids and they all had an amazing time. The cabin was very clean, well stocked, and the beds were super comfortable. Check-in was seamless. We loved sipping coffee on the back deck and took advantage of the hot tub almost every day. We appreciated the games provided (though one of the puzzles we attempted did have several missing pieces), and loved having the trekking poles available for hikes.We had a blast at the rec center and loved that everything was included. We played mini golf and basketball, and spent a lot of time at the pool, which was huge and warm. It is a pretty far drive within the resort itself and we knew that going in, but still wish it had been slightly closer to some of the amenities.A couple things worth noting that others have mentioned: the walk down to the river is pretty steep, and there are definitely some winding, steep mountain roads getting around the resort, so just something to keep in mind if that makes you uncomfortable.The location was great, giving us a nice mix of adventure and downtime during our stay. We explored downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge, did some hiking, went to the dive-in, took a day trip to Six Flags, and also spent slower days enjoying the amenities, fishing at the parks in the resort, and relaxing at the cabin.Overall, we would definitely recommend this place. It was exactly the slow-down, nature-filled spring break our family needed!"
