Great stay!

This rental was perfect for our short stay in Roan Mountain. It was the first time we have been able to bring our dogs along with us on an overnight trip. The home was clean, well equipped, and had plenty of outdoor space for our dogs to explore.

Amazing Weekend Getaway

Great cabin in the mountains, perfect space for my boyfriend and I with our dog. Lots of space for our dog to run and great change of scenery from our downtown apartment living. Trails are not far and a very easy drive! The cabin had everything we needed to make it a relaxing getaway, would definitely go back again!

Roan Mountain retreat

Just back from a spring getaway to beautiful Roan Mountain. This was our second stay at Kim and Art's lovely mountain cottage. Had a great time hiking with our dogs, who loved being off leash at the property. The cottage is clean, cozy and artfully decorated. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit!

Return Over & Over

I've had the pleasure of staying at Kim & Art's quaint and secluded cottage again and again. Love the place as my home away from home as well as the hosts... would not think of going elsewhere. As a remote worker, I have all that I need for my month long stays, great Starlink service, comfy beds, kitchenware and solitude. Check-in is a breeze with the key lock box on site. I will be back soon!

Roan Mountain Getaway

The cottage was clean, neat, and with subtle home-like decor, but no clutter. It is super quiet, and evenings around the firepit were a delight; easy access to Roan Mountain and the Tri-City area. We were greeted on arrival by a goodie basket and smores gear, left by our hosts; they also left goodies for our Golden Retriever, Boomer, and a personalized note wishing us a Happy Anniversary. I very much doubt that we could have picked a better place.

Our Roan Mountain trip

The cabin was wonderful. Neat, clean, well appointed. We loved the privacy and quietness of the property. It was very relaxing after a day of riding our motorcycles in the mountains. That brings me to my only complaint. I would've given a five star review, but that driveway. It was too narrow and the combination of gravel and grass made it hard to get up. The fact that it was raining when we arrived made it that much worse and slippery. Overall, we loved our stay and i highly recommend this property. Just beware of the driveway if you're on a motorcycle or low slung sports car.

Seclusion & Tranquility

This is my second stay at the cottage and will keep coming back until I find my own piece of mountain paradise! Equipped with everything you need for a short, or 30 day stays like me! The new pergo-like floors are elegant and the upgrade to Starlink satellite internet is excellent for remote working. The property is secluded & peaceful, gorgeous in the fall and just as lovely in the summer with the lush surrounding greenery. Love the cozy front porch to just sit and relax with the sounds of nature and wind chimes, or watch the stars and fireflies enjoying the cooler temps at night. Top it off with amazing hosts Kim and Art... they are the best :) You will love your stay here!

Serenity & Seclusion to my Heart's Content!

Wow! The cottage & surrounding property are magnificent & everything you could possibly desire for a secluded getaway. From the moment we (me & pup) drove up the private gravel driveway, I knew it was exactly what I wanted for my 30 day stay while working remotely. Quiet, peaceful, serene with no neighbors in sight other than the wild turkeys & visiting deer which you could watch from the front porch. The cottage is decorated simply in good taste with attention to details, furnished comfortably and equipped with full kitchen amenities which was perfect for my every day cooking and became "my home away from home." This place is treated like a home, not a rental. Comfy mattress, lovely electric fireplace adding to the mountain vibe, perfect sized TV for the space, plenty of hot water, central A/C & heat kept us comfortable at all times. My pup loved roaming around the property and our daily walks even up/down the driveway scrunching fall leaves by the creek became an adventure. I could go on and on... needless to say LOVED every single minute of our stay and felt a twang of sadness as we prepared to leave just a couple days ago. Kim & Art are wonderful hosts, just a text/call away, attentive to every need, treated us more like friends than visitors and provided excellent resources for discovering NE TN. I am grateful to have found them & their lovely cottage & will be returning as much as possible. Wishing them all the best and looking forward to seeing them again! Pat & Keeko

It was exactly as listed on the VRBO website and very clean and comfortable. The owners had several small extra nice touches like a basket for items to make smores and a very nice selection of board games for rainy days. We were very happy with our accommodations and grateful for the check-in text. thank you
