"The Italian Dream - some places you selfishly just don’t want to tell others about! 20 minutes drive from the coast, tucked away amongst wonderful scenery overlooking vineyards and on to glorious mountain ranges, is a perfect boutique hotel. Claudia as the main greeter has great English, incredibly friendly and really knows her wine. Camilla serving at dinner also a delight on her first night serving. The service is impeccable in its authenticity and modern charm. My room (6) up a flight of travertine steps was just right. Comfortable bed, great bathroom, good wifi, TV with access to Netflix etc, well stocked mini bar and even an old school fresh coffee maker. The communal areas centred around a large infinity pool and smaller dipping pool are both perfectly maintained and offer a variety of little spots to sit or lie down in both sun and shade. Dinner was relaxed poolside and the food was delightful-starters of the local Fritto Misto (meat stuffed olives) and pizza tasting night (Monday) in place of the usual à la carte. This was no normal pizza, chunky slices of local ingredients from ham and chicory to pistachio and ricotta. Breakfast avoids the usual buffet with a blend of bread, pastries, pancakes, ham and cheese, juice, yoghurt and muesli are delivered directly to your table. Coffee was of the gods. Eggs also available cooked to order. It was all so obviously homemade, fresh and full of flavour. Only one word is suitable. Perfecto. Grazie Mille."
