Cozy Lakefront Cottage Getaway in Kent County, Michigan

Enjoy sunrises from the deck of our quaint, little 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage on Big Crooked Lake in Kent County, Michigan. Big Crooked Lake is a 152 acre, all sports, private lake, with great fishing for blue gill, perch, bass, pike and walleye. Private sandy beach & shallow swimming area on the property. There is also a no-wake cove, accessible by boat, where people anchor their boats to swim and socialize. The cottage is 900 sq. ft. and it will sleep 4 comfortably, one bedroom has a queen size bed, the other has two twin beds. Many amenities included such as a furnished kitchen, including basic food staples, dishes, coffee maker, also hair dryer, linens, iron & ironing board, bedding, towels & beach towels. We are also providing a grill, patio furniture, lawn/beach chairs, fire pit & fire wood and a sandy beach and dock! Fishing poles are available, but we recommend bringing your own favorite gear. We provide a 12' rowboat for our guests, which works great for fishing and paddling around the lake, it also has an electric motor with two lithium batteries. There is a private boat launch available if you want to bring your own boat, which you can dock at our dock and park your trailer at the cottage. Please be sure that any watercraft brought in from other lakes is clean and free of invasive species. All boaters must operate within the State of Michigan Boating Laws and BCL Association rules.There is a dock available on the property for fishing/swimming from and docking one boat.
We also have two kayaks for our guests to use.

The cottage is located near Rockford, MI. We are located within 12 miles of many cities, including northeast Grand Rapids, Cities of Rockford, Belding and Lowell. The smaller villages of Cannonsburg, Parnell and Grattan are within 5 miles and provide dining, pubs, convenience stores, bike paths, hiking, mountain biking and zip lining. Downtown Grand Rapids is 25 miles away. Grand Rapids features sporting events & concerts, a large conference center, restaurants, bars, museums and Art Prize! Nearby activities also include many golf courses, Meijer Gardens, West Michigan Whitecaps, minor league baseball team and many river walks & festivals with live music! We are 15 minutes away from Blythefield Country Club where the LPGA tour stops in June.
This is a quiet, friendly neighborhood on a dead-end gravel road, with young families, working couples and also retired people. The owners live next door and are readily available to assist if there are any questions or concerns.
We also offer a reduced rate for weekly rentals of 7 nights or more.
