"A great place to stay that won't Break the bank. I'll be honest- I have a hard time reviewing hotels like Gateway to the Breaks because a five star review may create unrealistic expectations while a three or even four star review seems too harsh. The fact is that this is a basic hotel with very few amenities; they don't offer breakfast, there are no phones in the rooms, and the only fitness activity is if you have to climb the stairs to a second story room. That said, the WiFi is free and reasonably fast, the water pressure is decent if not exhilarating, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was clean and decently sized and the curtains did a good job keeping the light out. The air conditioner was more than adequate though the ceiling fan provided plenty of cooling by itself. I should also note that everyone I dealt with at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The real star of the show is that it is only about four minutes from Breaks Interstate Park, which is the only reason you would be staying at this hotel, either because the park's lodge was full or too expensive. So for what it is and where it is, it is a five star 2 star hotel. If you're used to the Ritz Carlton, you're going to be very disappointed; but if you are someone who worships at the altar of "we'll leave the lights on for ya", you will be glad you chose this place as I was."

"My husband and I stayed in two of the units in this locations, and loved both of them. We were out and about most of the time we were there so we didn’t spend much time there but they were both perfectly clean and comfortable to sleep in. Josh is great with communication and responding in a timely manner. He and his wife go above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. We will likely be staying again if/when we make it back over that way. "
