Relaxing Anchors Away Cottage in Glen Cove

  • Conveniently located to Rockland, Rockport and Camden and centrally located to all coastal points of interest. Driveable day trip distance to Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island and Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. Semi-private ROW to Glen Cove Beach. Convenient access to the Maine State ferries to enjoy exploring the nearby islands.
    Recently remodeled home with a well appointed modern kitchen, new appliances and granite countertops. En suite Master bedroom with full bath. Extra half bath in living area. Flat screen TVs in LR and BR. Reliable, fast streaming WiFi. Side deck with table and chairs. Large backyard with landscaped pond. Private beach access is a 2 minute walk across the street to beautiful Glen Cove. Due to severe allergies and potential safety issues with other animals, we cannot accommodate service animals. Not childproofed, no infant accommodations. No Smoking/Vaping/Open flames. There are no external accommodations on the property for the recharging of electric vehicles; running extension cords outside of the house is not permitted.

    A 1000 sq. ft. one floor home conveniently located and across the street from your private entry to beautiful Glen Cove beach. Beach access stairs are located at the back of the property at #20 Warrenton Street (in listing photos).Please stay on the Right of Way path (line drawing in listing photos) at the far side of #20. Beach access is at your own risk. Home has recently undergone a complete renovation. Private drive for off street parking. The en suite master bedroom has a queen sized bed, full bath and flat screen TV. Fully equipped modern kitchen. Ample seating in the comfortable living room overlooking your private pond and expansive backyard. The separate dining area has windows all around to let in sunlight during the day and sliding doors that can be closed at night for privacy. Outdoor seating on the lovely sun deck. Tastefully furnished throughout and includes WiFi, A/C, heat.

    We sanitize all soft surfaces with disinfectant spray and wipe down hard surfaces with bleach cleaners. All linens are washed in hot water and bleached and all quilts and blankets are laundered after each guest stay. Most importantly we believe in ventilating the cottage with plenty of fresh air between guest stays.

    Ensuring your comfort, enjoyment and creating happy vacation memories is what hosting is all about.

Beautiful cottage

Beautifully maintained home and property, we didn't use it much for more than sleep and showers as we like to explore...but it was comfortable and cozy.

Anchor's Away

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. Close proximity to local towns only 2 hrs from Acadia National Park & 30 minutes to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Perfect for 2 people. The only discrepancy was the online listing which was changed by the property owner after brought to their attention.

A cute house on a quiet street

The house was very nice with a small pond (and ducks!) out back. There was access to the cove and water down the road and across the street. We were disappointed that the house was not on the water and probably would not have booked it had we known. But we did have an excellent time !

Lovely cottage for a 2 person get-away!

Our stay was memorable for all the right reasons! We felt we had booked a most comfortable suite in a fine hotel. Ideally located close to Rockland, Camden and the Samoset Resort, there is much to do in its immediate area. We look forward to returning!

A pleasant cottage

While not as near the water as the photo implies, this cottage is fine for two folks who don’t require much for a nice vacation. Very clean, with all the usual amenities. It does have a nice pond in the backyard that attracts mallard ducks.

Anchors Away!

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property which was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. The location was great and we visited many nearby sites - lighthouses, shops in Camden, the Farnsworth Museum, Bar Harbor, etc. The auto road to Mt. Battie and a schooner cruise from Camden Harbor were particular favorites for us. I would definitely recommend this cottage to those looking to explore coastal Maine. We hope to return again in the future.

Anchors Away Cottage

We had a lovely time in this immaculate cottage for the four nights we reserved. A private shared beach across the stree and down a few stairs was amazing. We highly recommend staying here.

Cozy and comfortable

Enjoyed our stay so much. Cutest little house with everything we needed. Close to all the action. Access to the ocean, cute little bay. Anything we needed the host was very, very helpful and responded quick. Thanks so much, loved our stay!

This home is beautifully decorated for the beach. It has a cute patio and pond and is a very short walk to Glen Cove. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely house in a great location

This house is in a great location right between Camden and Rockland with lots to do. There is a cove across the street and you can see the water from the side porch. The house is very clean and everything in it is so new. Even the bathrooms that are not showcased on the site are lovely. We like to cook so we really appreciated the the layout of the kitchen with lots of counter space and appliances. It would be nice if there were a few more kitchen utensils such as wooden spoons, cheese grater, ice-cream scoop... etc and maybe a bigger pot and pan with lids. Otherwise, really nice kitchen. It was nice to have two TVs equipped with Roku so that we could unwind and watch our shows/movies at the end of the day. One issue that I had was the heavily scented linens and towels. They were just too strong for my sensitive nose. I prefer all natural, unscented laundry soap. Luckily, I brought my own sheets and blanket. All in all it was a great place to stay for our little getaway.

Weighing in on anchors away

My wife and I wanted to find a nice, quaint, cozy place to spend our 35th anniversary. Anchors away did not disappoint. The property is perfect for a couple. Extremely clean and well kept. Seemed to have been newly renovated and the layout and appointments are fabulous. Lovely neighborhood on the outskirts of Rockland (which is wonderful in its own right). There is a secluded beach across the street. The location is a great home base for exploring the Maine mid-coast area (Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Acadia, Boothbay, etc. etc). Felicia was a joy to interact with and a perfect host. A fantastic Maine getaway for any couple!

Maine Getaway

Anchors Away located just outside Rockport was just delightful. The neighborhood was quite and house was adorable, perfect for the two of us. It was located in a great area, easy to visit many great sights. A real gem! We hated to leave!

Clean & close to downtown areas.

Great stay! A friend and I stayed for 4 nights at this property. We found it in great condition, as it was extremely clean. It was central to Rockland, Rockport and Camden which is what we were looking for. Would recommend!

Anchors Away Cottage on Glen Cove Review

The cottage was perfect. It is settled in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood central to everything in Rockport and Camden. Decor and amenities were thoughtful and very much appreciated. The outdoor deck and backyard with the duck pond was used a lot, as well as the dining room and den area where I worked most of the time. The kitchen was fully set up and well stocked with everything would need to feel at home. The hosts were responsive and are lovely people. I highly recommend this listing and will most likely stay again!
